Young Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Pleads For Help And A Carbon-Free Lift Across The Atlantic To Climate Summit

Anyone got any ideas to help a poor, young climate activist cross the Atlantic carbon-free for a climate summit? I have a few but they will sound insensitive. Swimming comes to mind. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is looking to the world for suggestions as to how she can re-cross the Atlantic after next month’s U.N. climate summit in Chile was unexpectedly scrapped. I understand Spain is riding to the rescue with transport. How very green of them.

Greta, who is 16 and autistic, made it all the way from Sweden to California by yacht, train and electric car before Chile’s government announced it was canning the summit because of political unrest in the South American nation. Greta refuses to fly on airplanes because she claims that air travel is extremely damaging to the planet. She was slumming it and now she’s stuck… that is until Spain sends another yacht to bring her to the summit. The trials and tribulations of the politically correct. Just ridiculous.

From Breitbart:

“The COP25 summit will now be held in Spain and she is pleading for public help to make the 6000-mile trip through carbon-free modes of transportation.

“As #COP25 has officially been moved from Santiago to Madrid I’ll need some help,” Ms Thunberg tweeted from Los Angeles.

“It turns out I’ve travelled half around the world, the wrong way.”

“Now I need to find a way to cross the Atlantic in November … If anyone could help me find transport I would be so grateful.”

“Thunberg refuses to fly because of the carbon emissions involved.

“Her cry for assistance Friday came after she spent time with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio discussing ways and means to help the world struggle through what they claim is a “climate and ecological emergency,” as Breitbart News reported. DiCraprio called her a “leader of our time” and revealed they have made “a commitment to support one another.”

“Thunberg was in Los Angeles to attend a student demonstration for climate change. She also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which tapes in nearby Burbank.

“On the Ellen show, Thunberg was asked if she would ever sit down face-to-face with U.S. President Donald Trump to examine her climate activism.

“I don’t understand why I would do that,” Thunberg told DeGeneres, to loud applause from the studio audience. “I think it would be a waste of time really.”

“Reactions to Thunberg’s social media plea to the public to step in and provide her transport have been mixed, varying from multiple offers of support to suggestions she should return to school to learn about the benefits of air travel.”

Yep, she’s a useful tool for leftist globalists who are attempting to scam the entire planet into servitude so they can have more money and power. Bonus, Greta is anti-Trump. The little darling is loved by Marxists across the globe. Gag.

Of course, Greta was very sad she could not visit Chile. “I’m so sorry I’ll not be able to visit South and Central America this time, I was so looking forward to this,” Thunberg continued. “But this is of course not about me, my experiences, or where I wish to travel. We’re in a climate and ecological emergency. I send my support to the people in Chile.” I’m sure that will mean a lot as they are killing each other in the streets.

Thunberg concluded, “This [is] of course no problem. People are suffering all around the world, and I’m fine whatever I do and wherever I am.”

In case you need a refresher on Greta — via The Daily Wire:

“Thunberg, who has repeatedly been propped up by major left-wing news publications, garnered serious international attention over a meltdown that she had at the United Nations earlier this year over the climate.

“This is all wrong; I shouldn’t be up here; I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean,” Thunberg declared in desperation. “Yet, you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you. You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words, and yet I’m one of the lucky ones.”

“People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing,” Thunberg panicked. “We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you.”

“How dare you pretend that this can be sold with just business as usual and some technical solutions with today’s emissions levels that remaining CO2 budgets will be entirely gone within less than 8 and a half years,” Thunberg added. “There will not be any solutions or plans presented in line with these figures here today because these numbers are too uncomfortable and you are still not mature enough to tell it like it is.”

“You are failing us, but the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you and if you choose to fail us, I say we will never forgive you,” Thunberg stated. “We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now, is where we draw the line. The world is waking up and change is coming whether you like it or not.”’

Teresa Ribera, Spain’s ecological transition minister, said on Twitter on Saturday: “Dear Greta, it would be great to have you here in Madrid. You’ve made a long journey and help all of us to raise concern, open minds and enhance action. We would love to help you to cross the Atlantic back.”

The most carbon-friendly way for Greta to get to Spain is via a cargo ship. That oughta be fun.

Frankly, I’m not worried about her making the trip. After all, leftists think she walks on water. Maybe that’s an option.
