A heartwarming viral video shows a Navy SEAL standing to embrace his wife for the first time in months after nearly dying in a horrific car accident.

Now this is what love is all about!!

This is what it means when you say “in sickness and health, ’til death us do part.” Too many people forget that part.

Proverbs 31:10  An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.

What an amazing wife to stay by his side and what an amazing man to fight for his life and his love for his wife!! If you truly love someone it’s not even a debate. You’d be there morning and night and every second you can.

When you believe in each other and the people around you to help you to succeed… the things around you start to change and so you see the world differently. You know you’re going to succeed with hard work and loved ones that care! The world is an open book and all you have to do each day is turn the page. Then the story gets better and better!

Four months after suffering a catastrophic brain injury from a car accident, a Navy SEAL has stood up again with the help of his doting wife and a video of him planting kisses on her has warmed the hearts of millions.

Earlier this year, 36-year-old SEAL Jonathan Grant, who was in the US serving as a combat medic instructor, was in an accident that left him in a coma, fighting for his life. His wife, 32-year-old Laura Grant, has stuck by him, helping the doctors and physical trainers nurse him back to help.

Laura treasures the little victories of his recovery, and last week was rewarded when she helped her husband stand up from his wheelchair, prompting him to shower her with tentative kisses.

The Seal grabs onto two metal bars on either side of him, and a physical trainer stands nearby to help and guide them.

‘That’s the best you’ve stood up yet,’ the trainer tells him — but Jon is too busy celebrating the victory. He leans in to kiss his wife on the lips, before moving in father to kiss her more on her neck.

‘We hadn’t been able to stand and hold each other since before the accident, but as soon as we got him up, he started kissing my neck,’  said Laura.  ‘It gave me the chills — him kissing me back, you don’t realize how much that means until it’s almost taken away from you.’ Laura has uploaded other clips of her and Jon kissing, all with Jon in his wheelchair or bed and Laura leaning into him.

In March, just a month shy of the couple’s five-year anniversary, Jon was rushed to the hospital in Virginia following a car accident.

He suffered brain bleeding and brain injury that left him in a coma, with cuts all over and other internal injuries. Doctors weren’t sure he’d survive.

Laura hurried to the hospital from their home in North Carolina, but Jon stayed in his coma for months — and was still unconscious when he left the hospital in April. He didn’t wake up until two months after his accident.

With Jon now staying at a rehab facility, Laura has found a place nearby to be by his side. Though he can now breathe and eat on his own puréed food, she’s there to help him over other hurdles, staying at the facility for up to ten hours a day. He can’t brush his teeth or get dressed. He can’t stand on his own. And he still doesn’t talk, though he does try to mouth things.

‘Emotionally, it’s very hard to wonder whether he loves me. We get a little bit of head nods and mouthing, but nothing consistent, Laura said. ‘I don’t have my husband to talk to. Sometimes, when I leave the hospital at the end of the day, I think, “I just miss my husband.”‘

Money has also been tight, since Jon will likely never work again and Laura has had to take a break form the Pilates studio she owns in North Carolina, so a GoFundMe  page has been started to offer them financial support. ‘The hardest part is reality hitting me,’ Laura added. ‘I’m grieving the guy I married and our life, realizing the new life ahead will be just as beautiful.’

Still, she heads to rehab every day, and regularly uploads videos of herself with Jon. She has even found ways to incorporate her love of pilates into her time with him there, posting clips of herself exercising next to him.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
