Tulsi SMASHES Democrats at Debate: NOT the ‘Party That Is OF, BY and FOR the People’
“Our Democratic Party, unfortunately, is not the party that is of, by and for the people."
Tulsi Gabbard took the gloves off against her own party on the Democrat stage Wednesday, infuriating her co-contenders for the Democrat nomination. The attack came after moderator Ashley Parker asked Tulsi to explain her past criticism of Hillary Clinton, and the “rot” in the Democratic Party. She took the gloves of and laid the whole party out.
Gabbard said during Wednesday night’s primary debate: “Our Democratic Party, unfortunately, is not the party that is of, by and for the people.”
“It is a party that has been and continues to be influenced by the foreign policy establishment in Washington represented by Hillary Clinton and others’ foreign policy, by the military industrial complex and other greedy corporate interests.”
Hillary Clinton had previously suggested in an interview that Gabbard was a “favorite of the Russians.”
California Democrat Kamala ‘KamWow’ Harris was infuriated and shot back later:
““I think that it’s unfortunate that we have someone on this stage that is attempting to be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States, who during the Obama administration spent four years full time on Fox News criticizing President Obama.” Harris said
“You spent four years, full time, on Fox News criticizing President Obama,” Harris fired back
KamWow went on to run through a laundry list of Tulsi’s ‘perceived offenses’ against both party and country. She characterized Tulsi as an opportunist who has cozied up to white nationalists, dictators, and perhaps most damningly, President Donald Trump.
“When Donald Trump was elected—not even sworn in—[Tulsi] buddied up to Steve Bannon to get a meeting with Donald Trump in Trump Tower,” Harris said.
Tulsi hammered back at KamWow that it was “unfortunate” that she would “traffic in lies and smear and innuendos because she cannot challenge the substance of the argument that I am making.”
“It only makes me guess that she will as president continue the status quo,” Tulsi continued, “of regime-change wars, which is deeply destructive. I’m not gonna put party interests first—I am gonna put the interests of the American people first.”
Senior Trump Campaign Advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle offered a humorous “fact check”:
“Yep! Checks out!”

It was another gift to the Republicans and only minutes after Tulsi made the remarks, the Trump War Room Twitter account had posted the video as well as commentary of her remarks with an emoji denoting that it was “100 percent” accurate. :

It was a gift!
The Trump War Room account is managed by Trump’s 2020 campaign, and often shares pro-Trump news stories and Republican talking points. The fact that the Trump War Room posted the video likely won’t sit well with KamWow.
Wednesday night was not the first time Gabbard and Harris have sparred on the debate stage.
During the Democratic primary debate in July, Gabbard attacked Harris over her prosecutorial record while serving as attorney general in California, and over her health care plan.
“The people who suffered under your reign as prosecutor, you owe them an apology,” Tulsi told Harris. She also accused her of keeping “innocent people” on death row and saying she “blocked evidence” that could have helped them.
After that debate, KamWow fell drastically from top tier to the bottom. Most give Tulsi the credit for knocking her out of the race. Did she just do the same to the Democrat party? We will see. This will surely be used over and over in the general election.
Keep the popcorn coming!
