President Trump expertly trolled Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) after she proclaimed she would not take part in a criminal justice forum at a historically black college after the president was given a “Bipartisan Justice Award.” This was an insult to Trump and offensive to those on her side of the political aisle. Van Jones put Harris in her place and stated in a tweet: “I will be there, too, @CoryBooker … Running away from a conversation has never solved anything. Some people will abandon a microphone because they don’t like the person who touched it last. Others are smart enough to grab that microphone and make sure THEY get the last word.”
At least Van Jones has a spine… it may be a Marxist one but nonetheless, he has one. Kamala Harris is a craven coward and it just goes to show why she should never be president. No wonder she’s a ‘badly failing candidate’ and Trump was right to let her have it. He deserves that award for helping those in prison who arguably should not be there. What has Harris done for anyone?
“Badly failing presidential candidate [Harris] will not go to a very wonderful largely African American event today because yesterday I received a major award, at the same event, for being able to produce [and] sign into law major Criminal Justice Reform legislation,” Trump wrote in a series of tweets. “Which will greatly help the African American community (and all other communities), and which was unable to get done in past administrations despite a tremendous desire for it.”
“This and best unemployment numbers EVER is more than Kamala will EVER be able to do for African Americans!” he continued. Point made and right on target.
From The Daily Wire:
“The 20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center, who is slated to host the upcoming forum at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, presented Trump with the Bipartisan Justice Award on Friday. The president received the award for his efforts in championing the First Step Act, which has allowed thousands of non-violent offenders to gain early release from federal prisons and provide programs to help reduce recidivism.
“Trump appeared at the event to deliver a keynoted address and accept the award, remarking that it was a “true honor.”
“Harris was scheduled to speak at Benedict College’s event on Saturday, but she subsequently withdrew from the forum in protest over Trump’s award.
“As the only candidate who attended [a historically black college or university], I know the importance that these spaces hold for young Black Americans,” Harris wrote in a statement.
“Today, when it became clear Donald Trump would receive an award after decades of celebrating mass incarceration, pushing the death penalty for innocent Black Americans, rolling back police accountability measures and racist behavior that puts people’s lives at risk, and then learned all but ten Benedict students are excluded from participating, I cannot in good faith be complicit in papering over his record,” the statement continued.

“Rather than participating in the event, Harris’ campaign announced that she will instead hold a criminal justice roundtable at another location on the college’s campus.
“Other Democratic presidential hopefuls will still be taking part in the event over the weekend, including former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Housing Secretary Julián Castro, former Rep. John Delaney (D-MD), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
“My whole life I’ve fought for justice and for the people — something you’d know nothing about,” Harris responded to Trump on Saturday. “The only part of criminal justice you can claim credit for is the ‘criminal’ part.”
“The move comes as the California senator has been noticeably slipping in the polls. After months of stagnant fundraising and steadily declining poll numbers, she slid from the frontrunner in her home state of California to receiving only single-digit support.
“As of publication, Harris sits at 5.3% support among Democratic primary voters, according to the RealClearPolitics national polling average. She has not hit double digits in the polls since August 2019.”
It was my great honor to deliver the keynote address at the 2019 Second Step Presidential Justice Forum hosted by the 20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center in South Carolina, and my true honor to receive the Bipartisan Justice Award, thank you! https://t.co/uF9IWnI1pH

Harris has not spent her whole life helping others… she’s helped herself at the expense of others. What a flaming hypocrite.
Harris was among 10 Democratic presidential hopefuls expected to attend the forum. “Donald Trump is a lawless President,” Harris continued. “Not only does he circumvent the laws of our country and the principles of our Constitution, but there is nothing in his career that is about justice, for justice, or in celebration of justice.” That’s simply a blatant lie. Harris supported the First Step legislation, which received bipartisan support – but because Trump was awarded for his work on it she threw a tantrum and would not attend. That’s certainly not presidential material in action there.
Trump was awarded the Bipartisan Justice Award from the 20/20 Bipartisan Justice Center, which previously bestowed the honor on Harris and South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott. Harris’ sour racist grapes are showing.

Passed by overwhelming majorities in Congress, the First Step Act allows inmates who are serving time for selling crack cocaine to ask a judge to reduce their prison sentences.
The law, years in the making, represents an easing of tough, law-and-order minimal sentencing requirements imposed on judges that stemmed from a 1980s drive to clamp down on an epidemic of crack cocaine and other illegal drug use in the United States.
You spent your career locking up black men,
while giving sanctuary cities to illegal aliens.
You don’t care about black lives — you locked them up.

Part of being a leader is going to events you don’t like and schmoozing with those you disagree with. Trump’s tweets, as well as others, seem to have hit a nerve in Kamala Harris. She touts herself as a leading Californian prosecutor but she can’t even face-off with President Trump.
If she truly feels the way she claims then she should have the courage of her convictions and as Van Jones said, have the last word. Of course, she would never get it with President Trump. He’s a true leader and Kamala Harris is simply another Marxist nipping at his heels.

It’s my belief that President @realDonaldTrump delivered the best domestic policy speech of his presidency today as he talked about the impact criminal justice reform, combined with a strong economy, can have on America.https://t.co/eh68mdD6Xw
