Trump Mocked By NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio And NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo For Ditching NY Residence For FL

President Trump has announced that he is ditching New York and moving his residence to Palm Beach, Florida over politics and taxes. Who can blame him? New York has some of the highest taxes in the nation and is liberal central. Not only have the politicians treated him disgracefully there… many of the citizens have as well. I don’t blame him for wanting to get his business and family out of that place in the least.

Far-left Democrats New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo both rudely mocked President Trump as he announced his decision. A decision not made lightly. They will regret losing his business and his stature there but they’ll never admit it. Both are avowed Marxists and are running the state right into the ground. Have at it boys.

From TheBlaze:

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out or whatever,” de Blasio reacted on Twitter.

“The mayor — who recently cut short his bid to unseat Trump in the 2020 election — added, “Our deepest condolences to the good people of Florida as Trump attempts to outrun his past (and near future).”

“Cuomo also tore into Trump on Twitter, telling the president “Good riddance. It’s not like [Trump] paid taxes here anyway … He’s all yours, Florida.”

“Trump’s tweets about his address change noted that “despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state. Few have been treated worse.”‘

That’s rich considering Trump had to have paid a great deal in taxes there both for the state of New York and federally. More lies from the likes of De Blasio and Cuomo… nothing new there. Trump’s relocation will save him a small fortune in taxes and that’s a good and sane thing.

Trump confirmed the news, saying in part, “despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state. Few have been treated worse.” That is very, very true and much to the shame of New York.

The president and de Blasio have exchanged barbs frequently. De Blasio ran for president in the Democratic primary but dropped out in September due to very low polling. Why New Yorkers keep electing him locally is beyond me. The guy is a communist and no one likes him… especially the police.

Trump mocked De Blasio following the announcement, saying, “Oh no, really big political news, perhaps the biggest story in years! Part-time Mayor of New York City, BilldeBlasio, who was polling at a solid ZERO but had tremendous room for growth, has shocking dropped out of the Presidential race. NYC is devastated, he’s coming home!” That would devastate anyone.

Documents filed with the Palm Beach County Circuit Court show the president and First Lady Melania Trump submitted a “declaration of domicile” stating their permanent residence is the Mar-a-Lago Club.

“If I maintain another place or places of abode in some other state or states, I hereby declare that my above-described residence and abode in the State of Florida constitutes my predominant and principal home, and I intend to continue it permanently as such,” the president’s document reportedly reads. “I formerly resided at 721 Fifth Avenue,” the filing adds in reference to Trump Tower in New York. I also hear that the Trump Tower in New York will be going up for sale. That’s New York’s loss — no sympathy here after the way they have behaved in the Big Apple.

By moving to Palm Beach, Florida, the Trumps will escape the combined New York State and New York City income tax of 12.7 percent. Their assets will also be free of a 16 percent New York estate tax on assets worth more than $5.75 million, according to Forbes.

The president and First Lady will remain in the White House as long as Trump is president.

President Trump is not the first person to leave the high-tax state of New York for Florida and other lower-tax states. Back in February, New York Governor Cuomo acknowledged the exodus of rich New York residents and complained about the significant loss of revenue for the state because of it. “Tax the rich. Tax the rich. Tax the rich. The rich leave. And now what do you do?” he said. You could start by not taxing your residents to death… just a thought. How much more revenue do states with socialist oppressive taxes have to lose before they realize what they’re doing is suicidal? Evidently, all of it.

I think Florida is an excellent choice and a great place to campaign for reelection. It’s time for an avalanche in the Sunshine State.
