Former Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke is lurching all the way to the left which is what I expected him to do. He sent out a tweet over the weekend that is not only hypocritical but downright communist in nature. The tweet fully embraces Democratic Socialism. “The unprecedented concentration of wealth, power and privilege in the United States must be broken apart,” O’Rourke tweeted. “Opportunity must be fully shared with all. We must all have the opportunity to succeed. Together. As one country.”
O’Rourke has been coy on his national domestic policy until this weekend when he let it all hang out so-to-speak. Sans any real details. He now seems to be moving even further to the left than Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Kamala Harris (D-CA), two of the most leftward candidates in the race. His rhetoric has far more in common with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) than any other of the 2020 Democratic contenders.
Again with the self-awareness here. Beto O’Rourke comes from an insanely wealthy family whose worth is in the billions. O’Rourke seems to believe wealth, power, and “privilege” must be taken by force from those that hold them and he’s very vague on how to do that. I’m sure he doesn’t mean his family either since they are part of the leftist elite. They have a word for what he is calling for… communism.
Beto’s speeches have an almost revolutionary twang to them. He fights for freebies and never details how they will be paid for or the crushing taxes that would enslave America if he ever instituted them. As The Daily Wire pointed out: “His speeches are lofty, but his concrete policy positions seem to begin and end with an open borders immigration policy and universal background checks for gun buyers — the only two issues he’s been clear on thus far. Late last week, O’Rourke seemed to take an extreme position on abortion, claiming that he, as a male, had no right to interfere with a woman’s decision to terminate her pregnancy, even up until the moment of birth.”
The unprecedented concentration of wealth, power and privilege in the United States must be broken apart. Opportunity must be fully shared with all. We must all have the opportunity to succeed. Together. As one country.

From Hot Air/AP:
“Despite such nods to bipartisanism, however, O’Rourke offered many positions Saturday that were liberal enough to make moderates nervous. He vowed to legalize marijuana nationally, defend abortion rights, sign new voting rights legislation to end partisan gerrymandering and allow same-day voter registration, institute federally financed, universal pre-kindergarten programs, strengthen unions and bring home all troops from the U.S.-led wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“He also renewed his support for a House proposal called “Medicare for America,” which he says will guarantee universal health care coverage while allowing people who like getting insurance through their employer to continue doing so.”
Have you told your wealthy father-in-law of your plans, Comrade?
Also, where do you stand on the "kulak question?" https://t.co/vyWUTkTSYj

If Beto were sincere, he would start the wealth, privilege, and power redistribution with his own. And if communism is indeed what O’Rourke embraces then own it. Stop tip-toeing around the details. Come out of the red closet and go whole communist hog. At least that would be honest.
In the end, his economic ideas are as flawed as Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s are. There’s no there-there. What they are proposing is simply unworkable and would destroy the country permanently.
Lucky for Beto his billionaire father-in-law isn't on Twitter. https://t.co/XubWLaR5UI

In a nation who is once again seeing prosperity due to President Trump’s economic policies, it’s hard to understand why anyone would choose communist oppression. There are lots of jobs to be had and wages are at an all-time high. Opportunity is everywhere. Don’t break up wealth, power, and privilege… work towards them. That’s the American way.
Caleb Howe at TheBlaze nailed it: “This Beto O’Rourke tweet is more “redistribution of wealth” than when Barack Obama literally said “redistribute wealth.”‘ But Beto goes even further and his tweet is not just socialist, it’s communist. The implied class warfare and communal ownership of wealth and power screams it. And the media and radical Democrats love and embrace it.
Does this include your family’s billions? Just askin . . .

How much freaking money did you raise again? Wonder how many homeless could be fed and clothed if we took the money out of politics??? You have 0 room to use this argument.

So if you take a bunch of wealth away from people who managed to accumulate it, did they really have opportunity to begin with? Does the fisherman have opportunity if the bear is 100% sure to maul him on the way home and steal his catch? https://t.co/FBXpQTxCEa
