#ReleasetheMemo has really taken off since Democrats, the beacons of transparency, are fighting the release of the memo that may hold the power to put to end all of this Trump-Russian collusion nonsense. Try as they might, Democrats have yet to produce any evidence to show that there was any collusion (of course, except between Hillary and the Russians).
According to Republicans who have read the memo, it’s release would prove to be quite the shocker. There is speculation that the memo will show definitively that the FBI illegally spied on the Trump campaign based on fake information from a DNC funded dossier. For the FBI to abuse their duty by allowing fake information to fuel an investigation is incompetence at best and corruption at worst (my money is on corruption).
Republicans who have seen the memo are unable to disclose it’s contents but not their reactions to the content.
According to The Blaze:
Led by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), 65 Republican lawmakers co-signed a letter to Nunes calling for the “immediate” release of the four-page memo.
“After reading the document, we were shocked and frustrated, but it has deepened our belief in the vital importance of transparency,” Gaetz wrote, adding:
This important memo will be of interest to anyone who cares about America and our democratic system of government. We are writing to request the immediate release of this document to the public, as well as any relevant ancillary information. The audience of this document should not be limited to Members of Congress — the American people deserve to know the information it contains.
Since Thursday, a multitude of GOP lawmakers have publicly sounded the alarm about the memo, which they say details extensive surveillance abuses by the Obama administration. Lawmakers have said the memo proves the Obama administration unlawfully spied on the Trump campaign, the Trump transition and other Americans.
The memo is so “explosive” that sources who spoke with journalist Sara Carter saidthey “they would not be surprised if it leads to the end of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation into President Trump and his associates.” It could also lead to the removal of senior officials in the FBI and Department of Justice, Carter reported.
So who do we turn to to gather information on our own government but Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks? Assange knows that many people have seen the memo and is making an offer perhaps someone will take him up on.

Republican lawmakers are demanding that a 4-page bombshell memo detailing FISA abuse by top members of Obama’s FBI and Justice Department be released to the general public, over the objections of Democratic lawmakers. The memo is being described as “much worse than a government shutdown” and “bigger than Watergate.” Heads are expected to roll. Many Republican congress members exploded in shock and outrage Thursday evening after having read it, and have started a new hashtag on Twitter, #ReleaseTheMemo.
WikiLeaks has now jumped into the fray, offering to pay a reward of up to $1 million if someone with access to the document will send it to them.
The memo was reportedly written by House Intel Committee Republicans, and outlines abuse of a FISA warrant, the scandalous and reportedly phony Trump dossier, and illegal surveillance of the Trump campaign.
This is not the first time Julian Assange has offered money for information. Wikileaks offered $20,000 for information on DNC staffer Seth Rich’s killer. In October of last year, Assange offered $100,000 for the secret JFK files. In January 2017, Wikileaks tweeted “We are issuing a US $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest or exposure of any Obama admin agent destroying significant records.”
Here is my idea: This memo is likely to be released soon anyway, so Trump should release it to Wikileaks before he releases it to the public and claim the million bucks. Then he can use the cash for some great cause! Maybe it can be a downpayment for the wall or he can send it to some military families in need. The possibilities are endless! This is totally something I can see President Trump doing – always the pragmatist!
Whether through Wikileaks, Trump or Congress the memo is likely to be public soon. For now all we can do is speculate and wait to see what it reveals. Needless to say, if the Republicans are right about the explosive contents we can only hope someone will be held accountable!
