San Francisco Sees 400% INCREASE in Sidewalk POOP and There’s a MAP
San Francisco has basically decriminalized pooping on public sidewalks, the city does not prosecute people who are caught doing so.
As we have written before, Colorado has the same exact problem and it has ended in chaos!
City workers make more than $184,000 a year in salary and benefits cleaning up the public defecation.
The current Mayor London Breed told NBC: “There’s more feces than I’ve ever seen!”
Software engineer Jenn Wong even created a poop map of San Francisco, showing the concentration of incidents across the city.
This all stemmed from California’s new governor, Gavin Newsom, who was formerly the mayor of San Francisco when this mentally about public pooping came to fruition.
San Francisco’s ongoing poop saga is the latest expression of progressive urban politics gone haywire.
A city covered in poop is so disgusting it has to be almost comical. But the uptick in street defecation is the symbol of a human tragedy. Liberal policies, designed to share the wealth to help the poor, have only resulted in a historic gap between the rich and the poor.
These policies have hurt the standard of living for the homeless, not helped them.
My friend Kira Davis said it better than I can at RedState:
With some of the most liberal governing policies in the nation, one can only assume that the fine city of San Francisco is nothing short of a Left Coast Paradise.
The city on the bay has an extremely generous welfare program for low-income residents. It provides a needle exchange for drug addicts, a huge array of social services for LGBT and racial equality programs. It is a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants and as a matter of policy it does not enforce vagrancy laws or public municipal codes for the homeless, creating an ideal destination for those who choose not to live within the typical structure of communities. Cutting edge environmental codes make new builds within city limits nearly impossible.
All of this comes at a hefty cost to the taxpayers and has driven up the cost of living to unimaginable levels…so much so that schools are having to close because teachers cannot afford to live anywhere near the areas they work in. The cost of a one bedroom apartment can range from $2400-$3400 per month.
But isn’t that a small price to pay to live in a the paradise promised by unchecked socialism?
Well, if your idea of paradise includes streets flowing with feces, San Francisco is the utopia for for you!
But the real question remains. Gavin Newsom is now the Governor of California and Sacramento is fully controlled by the far-left socialist wing of the Democrat party.
Is this to come to all of California next? California has already become the poverty capital of the United States. It already has the biggest chasm between rich and poor. The state has been rated for the worst quality of life.
People and businesses are fleeing the states at record numbers.
Just how bad can it get?
