Russian ‘Doomsday Nuke’ Underwater Drone Could Wipe Out LA, San Fran and Seattle w 300ft Tsunami

After teasing the new weapon during his State of the Nation, Putin is finally showing off his new underwater drone as a part of his mission to let Americans know that Russia will not be contained.

The existence of the underwater nuclear-carrying drone submarine is now known as Status-6 was first confirmed last month, but only now are we learning new information about the system.

Status-6 Underwater Drone

The machine allegedly has a range of upwards of 6,200 miles reaching a top speed of 56 knots, which allows it to carry nuclear warheads within range of causing damage to the United States. The total circumference of the earth is 24,901 miles. If you want to imagine what 6,200 miles looks like, then imagine the distance between Iceland and Hawaii.

Putin first introduced the drone as being “intercontinental” in range and was designed to target both aircraft carriers as well as coastal facilities. “It’s just fantastic!” said Putin in translation.

First Teased Last Month

Last month Putin used a similar presentation to showcase his new intercontinental ballistic rocket with “unlimited range.” The showcase took place during his State of the Nation address in Moscow.

The fanciest missile in the presentation was described to be “like a meteorite, like a fireball” and can travel at 20 times the speed of sound. Using strong language, Putin said that the missile is “like a fireball” being guided to its target.

It was during this presentation that he first brought up the existence of the underwater drone, which he promised would be named through an online contest. Overall, the weapons are intended to make America and NATO defense systems “useless” which will prevent NATO from “containing” Russia. It’s not a threat, said Putin, it just means they’re not going to take anything from anyone.

Trump is soon expected to meet with the leader of North Korea. I don’t think Trump will want to start any beefs with Putin anytime soon, now that he’s so close to finessing the deal of a lifetime.

Physicist Gives Opinion

Speaking to media, nuclear-weapons researcher and physicist Rex Richardson said that the drone is capable of destroying coastal cities.

“A well-placed nuclear weapon of yield in the range 20 megatons to 50 megatons near a seacoast could certainly couple enough energy to equal the 2011 tsunami [In Japan which killed nearly 16,000 people], and perhaps much more. Taking advantage of the rising sea floor amplification effect, tsunami waves reaching 328 feet in height are possible.”

So whatever Putin has cooking up over there in the land of vodka and communism seems to be worth worrying about. But, at least Putin seems more concerned with the goings-on in his own part of the world. With North Korea and South Korea coming close to finally officially ending the Cold War era Korean War, Putin should be a lot more concerned about safety and stability from that region of the world.

False Disaster Warnings

This winter, residents on the east coast were sent an alert on their mobile phones warning of an incoming tsunami.

A tweet from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston, South Carolina, said the alert was sent around 8:30 a.m. ET. “We have been notified that some users received this test message as an actual Tsunami Warning,” the NWS tweeted, adding that a tsunami warning was “not in effect.” The botched warning sparked a weather war of words between the National Weather Service and private firm AccuWeather.

Before that, on January 13th, panic spread through Hawaii as a message was sent warning of an oncoming ballistic missile threat, advising residents to find shelter and warn that this was “not a drill.” Then, a second message sent 38 minutes later apologized for the false alarm and said that it had been pushed to mobile phone users in error. Apparently, it happened during the shift change at a Hawaiian emergency agency. Oops!

With Putin out there showing off his underwater city-killing nuke drones, these false warnings aren’t doing anyone any favors in terms of which to believe. The boy who cried wolf did lied the first two times, and by the third time he was eaten up and nobody cared. Let’s hope that there are no more false alarms that will keep people from staying alert.
