Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) was confronted by two leftists from New York while eating lunch Friday with his staff at a California restaurant. Let’s just say that ‘tolerance’ and ‘civility’ are not the left’s strong suits. Paul’s deputy chief of staff, Sergio Gor, managed to get the exchange on video and it wasn’t pretty. He posted it to Twitter for the world to see: “While having lunch with @RandPaul in California, we got verbally assaulted by these aggressive libs complaining about incivility,” Gor wrote. “Check out the vid! #unhinged.”
“You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bulls**t,” the woman in the video shouts at Gor. Frankly, no one cares whether they agree with Republicans or not. They can get stuffed as far as Republicans care. It’s ironic this would come from leftist, elitist Democrats while Rand Paul is on his nationwide tour to promote his new book: “The Case Against Socialism.” Nothing if not apropos.
From Fox News:
“Similar incidents involving former White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made headlines last year.
“Paul retweeted the video and said that while “the left blames incivility” on the president, he urges voters to “watch this video and decide who the rude ones are.”
“This is not every New Yorker, but I see this way too often in New York City, though,” said “Fox & Friends: Weekend” host Jedidiah Bila. Noting that this happens when people recognize you and they know that you have a different opinion.
“At the end of the day when you see lawmakers, when you see people that are in this process, let them eat their dinner,” said co-host Griff Jenkins.
“And also, people who do these things: It may feel in the moment that you’re taking a stand, but this is not a good look for you…Have some respect,” Bila added.”

Get a grip already. All this does is make these two New Yorkers look like the rude socialists they actually are. They are their own worst enemy. I hope it was worth it but I highly doubt it. They looked like unhinged fools. This won’t change a thing and just makes Democrats look even worse. It’s also not a good look for New Yorkers.
Paul and Gor were just trying to have a quiet meal. They did not engage this couple or go looking for conflict. If someone did this to Hillary Clinton, the media would be all over it but because these are Republicans, not so much. People on the right usually don’t pull this kind of radical, hateful stunt. They didn’t ask to be confronted over politics and it is beyond rude to do something like this and totally unnecessary unless you are trying to get publicity which I suspect they were.

In the clip, a man can be seen insisting, “I’m not being rude,” while the woman with him proves them to be liars as she flips off the camera before yelling, “You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bulls**t!” The short footage then redirects back to the man presumably lecturing the senator, telling him they, “Possibly, probably, don’t have much in common politically,” but, “we are Americans.” Do tell, then act like it.
Rand Paul seems to be a lightning rod for this kind of lunacy. He was at the baseball game where Republicans were shot at and then was attacked and put in the hospital by a leftist neighbor. He was also accosted over the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation. The guy can’t have a bite in peace it would seem. But that’s Democrats for you… they just can’t act like sane adults.
