EXPLOSIVE NEW POLL: More Americans Believe Hillary Illegally Colluded With Russians Than Trump
It seems that the release of the Mueller Report is beginning to have a profound effect on public opinion, with almost half the public convinced it was really Hillary that colluded with the Russians. A brand new nationwide poll reveals that many more people believe Hillary “illegally colluded with foreign operatives” than Trump, according Rasmussen. 47% of likely voters now believe that Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign is more likely than was President Trump’s to have illegally colluded with the Russians and other foreign operatives!
This is likely to get worse, as we already know that there was PLENTY of collusion by Hillary and Co. Just this week we have two items of sincere interest.
First, the Ukraine’s top prosecutor just revealed in an interview that aired Wednesday on Hill.TV that he has opened a new investigation to look into into evidence that his country’s top law enforcement apparatus intentionally leaked financial records about then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. This looks seriously like an effort to sway the election in favor of Hillary Clinton.
The leak of the so-called “black ledger files” to the media is what prompted Manafort’s resignation from the Trump campaign. It was also one of the key allegations in the Russia collusion probe.
We are also now discovering that John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager and assured Secretary of State had she won, played a central role in another potential Russian collusion scandal that has not yet been investigated.
Podesta served on the board of Joule Unlimited, a now defunct alternative energy company, from January 2011 to January 2014. He did so, along with senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and Russian oligarch Ruben Vardanyan.
Vardanyan was appointed by Vladimir Putin to the Russian economic council.
Two months after Podesta joined the board, Joule managed to raise $35 million (one billion Russian rubles) from Putin’s Kremlin-backed investment fund Rusnano. The investment in the company by a firm owned by the Russian government was hidden from review and scrutiny by the Committee on Foreign Investment (CFIUS).
It wasn’t Trump’s campaign that colluded with shady Russia oligarchs and sketchy Russian sources to subvert American democracy: it was, and has been Hillary Clinton’s.
Of course, the biggies are the Uranium One Scandal, and Fusion GPS.
The Federalist lays out the basics of Fusion GPS. (Great article!)
Fusion GPS was hired in April 2016 by the Clinton campaign’s law firm to do opposition research against the Trump campaign after it became clear that Trump would be the Republican presidential nominee. The campaign expenditures to Fusion GPS were never disclosed in campaign finance reports.
At the same time, it was also working on behalf of Prevezon, a company owned by Kremlin-connected Russian oligarch Denis Katsyv, in the company’s battle with U.S. prosecutors over Magnitsky Act sanctions against the company. Shortly after Fusion was hired to work for the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, it retained the services of Steele and directed him to dig up dirt on connections between the Trump campaign and Russia. The series of reports and memoranda prepared and peddled by Steele collectively became known to the public as the so-called Steele dossier.
It is beyond dispute that the Clinton campaign and the DNC funded an opposition research firm that was working on behalf of a company owned by a Kremlin-connected Russian oligarch. Had this been Trump, Rachel Maddow would be all over it!
As time goes on, history will bear out the truth, I am sure. What we do know, is that despite the incredible attempts by the left and the media to con the American public, it is not working.
