This may qualify for the dumbest thing to come out of her mouth – and that is saying something: Opinion by DJ Mellons: Ilhan Omar said on CBS’s Face the Nation that pushing the Boycott, Sanctions, and Divestment movement against Israel will bring about peace in the region.

Omar said the BDS movement could be instrumental in bringing about the two-state solution which she and many of her Democratic colleagues support.

“I think what is really important is for people to understand that you have to give people the opportunity to seek the kind of justice they want in a peaceful way, and I think the opportunity to boycott, divest, sanction is the kind of the pressure that leads to that peaceful process,” she said.

Omar said during her 2018 run for Congress that the BDS movement was “counteractive” and “not helpful in getting that two-state solution.” Once elected, however, she said she “supports the BDS movement.”

BREAKING: Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib Planned To Meet With Group That Promoted Neo-Nazi Screed, On ‘Palestine’ Trip

Now that Israel has banned well known anti-Semitic Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) from entering the country, it’s being confirmed that the two new members of Congress planned to meet with organizations that have expressed support for terrorism against it.

Omar and Tlaib are both supporters of the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which is a campaign designed to destroy the nation of Israel.

Netanyahu issued a statement saying that no country in the world respects the US Congress more than Israel, but that Isaeli law prohibits entry to those calling for a boycott of the country. He said that other countries as well – including the US – bar entry to those who are perceived to want to harm them.He said that Israel is a “vibrant and free democracy” that is open to all criticism, with the exception of a call for boycotts.

“Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting boycott legislation against Israel in the US Congress,” Netanyahu said.

He said that Israel received their itinerary only a few days ago, and it became clear that they were “planning a campaign whose sole purpose was to strengthen the boycott and to undermine Israel’s legitimacy.”

He pointed out that they referred to the visit as a visit to “Palestine,” and not to Israel, and – as opposed to all other Democratic and Republican representatives in the past – did not request any meeting with official Israeli representatives, either from the government or the opposition.

Netanyahu said that the NGO that is sponsoring the trip – Miftah – is a fervent advocate of BDS and includes members who have supported terrorism against Israel.

Omar and Tlaib had described their trip as a “Delegation to Palestine,” even though Palestine does not exist legally, and they did not request to meet any Israeli officials.

One of the most stunning findings on the group is that they have, on their website, promoted content from a neo-Nazi organization which promotes anti-Semitic conspiracy theories that Jews control the media.

The author of the article is “the Research Staff of National Vanguard Books,” which the Southern Poverty Law Center notes is a neo-Nazi organization.

A closer look at the travel itinerary for Omar and Tlaib shows that they also planned on meeting with additional extremist organizations, including the Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCI-P), which has ties to terrorism.

NGO Monitor reports the following about the activities of the DCI-P:

DCI-P leads the campaign exploiting children to promote demonization of Israel, and is linked to the PFLP terror group. Many of its allegations are false and part of attempts to smear Israel with allegations of ‘war crimes’ and promote BDS.

Several past and current DCI-P board members and employees have apparent ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization designated as such by the USEUCanada, and Israel….[DCI-P] supports BDS (boycotts, divestments and sanctions) campaigns against Israel and is an active participant in lobbying the UNEUforeign governments, and other international bodies to promote this agenda.
