Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is definitely on the defensive these days. She’s trying to savage her critics over the Green New Deal, saying they sound “like Dr. Evil,” referring to the character from the “Austin Powers” movies. I just wonder if this woman has any concept of her own self-image here. No self-awareness whatsoever.
Points for trying to sell a green dead horse though… she appeared on an hourlong town hall-style special on MSNBC where she pitched her insane Green New Deal that would hand control of everything over to the government and drive the country off a financial cliff in the process. It’s a disastrous proposal that sports a price tag north of $93 trillion over ten years. The evil is in her policies and the numbers.
What really got under Ocasio-Cortez’s skin was referring to the Green New Deal is a “socialist” fantasy that would take away “cows” and “hamburgers.” If it walks, talks, and passes gas like a socialist… She told MSNBC host Chris Hayes that she “100 percent” expected such a response but didn’t predict that they would take it to an “eleven.”
Then came what I am sure she thought was a zinger but in fact, is just lame: “I didn’t expect them to make total fools of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez told the roaring Bronx crowd. “Frankly, I expected a little more nuance and I expected a little more concern-trolling.” Does she even know what that means? I highly doubt it. I find it disturbing that so many support this woman. Her lying and fact-distortion are nothing short of communist propaganda.
.@AOC: "How about we start by fully funding the pensions of coal miners in West Virginia?"

From Fox News:
“Hayes, the host of MSNBC’s “All In,” then referred to the “Frequently Asked Questions” document that was released during the rollout of the Green New Deal that included references to “farting cows” and guaranteed economic security to those “unwilling to work.” The FAQ page was quickly pulled after it began circulating online.
“Do you think you guys rolled it out the right way?” Hayes asked.
“What I will say is that I definitely had a staffer who had a very bad day at work and did release a working draft early, so I get that’s what they’re seizing on,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “But really, what we need to do is have a serious conversation and even in those draft versions, what they were talking about is really about the fact that we need to innovate on our technology, you know? Obviously, I had a staffer, you know, released a document that talked about cow flatulence.”
“Which is an issue!” Hayes said, defending the congresswoman. “I just want to say, it sounds ridiculous, but it really is an issue.”
“Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, dismissed the “label” that the Green New Deal is “socialism,” telling Hayes that climate change “is a problem of market failure externalities in our economics.” She also mocked concerns over the cost of the Green New Deal, which a GOP think tank has estimated to be about $93 trillion.
“They wave this wand and they say, ‘Oh, it’s gonna cost, you know, a bazillion dollars.’ Like, they sound like Dr. Evil, like ‘100 million dollars,’” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “How about we start by fully funding the pensions of coal miners in West Virginia? How about we start by rebuilding Flint? Let’s just start now.”’

Chris Hayes and MSNBC are totally predictable here and are an utter embarrassment to journalistic ethics and the lack thereof:
“Hayes began by saying, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but — can I read your mentions, maybe it’s not a good idea — I just want to give a little taste of, like, it is a 24-hour on Trump TV, it’s a 24 hour in the conservative movement, it’s 24-hour AOC GND.”
“He then aired a montage of conservatives commenting on the Green New Deal. It included Republican politicians like President Donald Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, and North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows. The compilation also shows conservative pundits like Sebastian Gorka, Brit Hume and Pete Hegseth.
“Yes, the infamous Stalin five-year program to get rid of hamburgers. Were you expecting that?” Hayes asked after the video concluded.
“Yeah, 100%,” Ocasio-Cortez answered. “It is next level. I didn’t expect them to make total fools of themselves.”’
I find the Stalin reference apropos here. What say you? No one in the Senate voted for this monstrosity. To save themselves politically, 43 spineless Marxist Democrats voted ‘present’. Four Democrats voted with the Republicans. Notice that at this MSNBC forum she was very combative and did not provide any details to speak of. Where’s the green beef? This is PR and a pathetic attempt to reverse her tanking ratings out there.
If Ocasio-Cortez’s staff member had a very bad, not good day, it was at her behest. She’s a typical Democrat and throws anyone handy under the political bus for her faux pas. It’s for the good of the revolution and all that blather.
Ocasio-Corez’s answer is simply to print money just as the Weimar Republic did and we all know how that ended, don’t we? She’s also not the brain trust behind this lunacy. Look for Al Gore and George Soros behind her puppet strings. In other words the real evil… communists.
Rep. Ocaiso-Cortez blames the poor rollout of the Green New Deal on staff: What I will say is that I definitely have a staffer that had a very bad day at work and we did release a working draft early. So I get that's what they're seizing on.

After no Senate Dems vote for the Green New Deal this past week, Rep. Ocaiso-Cortez says "And first of all of, you know, we wave a magic wand and we passed the Green New Deal resolution tomorrow, what happens? Nothing because it's a resolution. pic.twitter.com/8gCUTAAYvZ
