Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) actually had the gall to defend comments by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) concerning the 9/11 atrocity. President Trump sent out a tweet saying: “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!” in response to Omar making a horrid comment concerning 9/11: “Some people did some things…” In his tweet was footage of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers in New York City by al Qaeda terrorists on that fateful morning. That’s exactly what Trump should have tweeted and at least one major imam agrees.
Imam Mohamad Tawhidi tweeted: “Here are the two facts that you missed: 1. The President expressing himself saying that he will ‘never forget’ the victims of 9/11 is not an ‘attack’, it’s exactly what’s expected from him. 2. Her life is not in danger. In fact, her association with CAIR puts the U.S in danger.” Good for him and exactly right.
Ocasio-Cortez says that Trump’s words in his tweet represent “dangerous incitement” against Omar. What incitement? For holding her accountable for her inexcusable words and justifications for terrorists on that infamous day? “Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack [email protected]’s life is in danger,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress. We must speak out.”
First off, there is absolutely no evidence that Omar’s life is in danger and if it is, it isn’t Trump’s fault… it’s hers for stirring up chaos and inciting hatred. Then came Ocasio-Cortez throwing the Hitler card: “‘First they came…'” Which I find particularly offensive. The quote, “First they came…” comes from a quote of prominent Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller, who described how people’s inaction toward Adolf Hitler led to the Holocaust. The famous quote is featured at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which Ocasio-Cortez included a picture of in her tweet.
Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack today.@IlhanMN’s life is in danger. For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress.
We must speak out.

Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet engendered a strong, enflamed and passionate response from those on Twitter. From The Daily Wire:
“David Harsanyi tweeted: “This is just a shameful attempt to chill speech. It belittles both the real victims of 9/11 and the Holocaust.”
“Jim Hanson tweeted: “He called her out for her atrocious 9/11 comment Is she somehow immune from criticism? How many massively more inflammatory things have you & your crew said about @realDonaldTrump? And a Holocaust reference puts you in the same (low) class as #IlhanOmar.”
“Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro tweeted: “That many in the media will parrot this ‘speech is violence’ codswallop is a demonstration how little they care about protecting speech when the speech is criticism of the Left. And there’s something deeply disturbing about AOC making Holocaust references to defend an open and unrepentant anti-Semite who is merely being criticized”
“Popular conservative Twitter account AG Conservative tweeted: “Unbelievable. She is comparing Trump posting a video quoting Omar’s own words to the Holocaust. Despicable and incredibly offensive, especially to those of us whose families were actually impacted by those words.”‘
“The people — and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” President George W. Bush
Was Bush downplaying the terrorist attack?
What if he was a Muslim 🤔 https://t.co/XMazssoD49
— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) April 12, 2019
Omar actually had the nerve to compare herself to President George W. Bush over her 9/11 statements. The comparison was to Bush’s comments just days after 9/11 as he stood atop a pile of rubble and declared “I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!”
Omar tweeted: “Was Bush downplaying the terrorist attack? What if he was a Muslim?” Just how offensive can you get? Bush made that statement before we even knew who had struck us. This insults all Americans, including me, who lost loved ones that horrible day and it is makes my blood boil.

From The RightScoop:
“She doesn’t even include the full context of his comments, as I showed above. She just chopped up his sentence to suggest she was doing the same thing that Bush did just days after 9/11. And then asks what if Bush were a Muslim who said that?
“This was only days after 9/11 when the country was still trying to wrap their minds around what happened. We were still trying to figure out who’d perpetrated this horrific act on American soil. And Bush was in the midsts of these courageous first responders who were still digging through rubble looking for people that survived, trying to comfort and encourage them as well as the nation as a whole.
“Omar made her offensive comments at CAIR while extolling the virtues of a group who’s been found by a court to have supported the terrorist group Hamas in the past.
“It’s not even close to the same thing. Not even in the same universe.”
Here are the two facts that you missed:
1. The President expressing himself saying that he will “never forget” the victims of 9/11 is not an “attack”, it’s exactly what’s expected from him.
2. Her life is not in danger. In fact, her association with CAIR puts the U.S in danger. https://t.co/JHJ5gwZbGf

Both Ocasio-Cortez and Omar have a lot in common. They are Marxists and racists. They hate America and embrace radicals… even terrorists. These women are the quintessential enemy within. They have no concept of the rage Americans felt on 9/11 and that rage has not dissipated for many of us.
Hitler and the Holocaust are not memes to be thrown about to make your opponent look bad when you don’t have the brains or logic to take a stance and when you know you are in the wrong. Neither of these women should be in office. They are a disgrace to this nation and they are about as un-American as it gets.
This is just a shameful attempt to chill speech. It belittles both the real victims of 9/11 and the Holocaust. https://t.co/RHkjQShk0c

President Bush made this statement days after World Trade Center was reduced to rubble, as he stood atop the smoking pile. I was there.
We, in FBI, were working to determine involvement in conspiracy, following evidence.

wow.. she's truly delusional. He said this before we knew who did it. Then, soon-thereafter, named the disgusting Islamic terrorist organization that committed the murders. Where's your statement against Islamic terrorism? You've said it, right? https://t.co/RlvH5MPL3y

Enough. Stop trying to defend the indefensible. The people of the 13th District have been contacting me all week about how appalled they are about your comments and how disrespectful they were to those who lost their lives on Flight 93. https://t.co/3YaJlCfY93
