Three Armed Men Attempt To Rape Girl; Grandpa Grabs Gun, Blasts Them
Three armed men attempted to gang rape a 19-year-old girl. What happened next, they were not prepared for.
Laws are not designed to stop criminals, they just give an avenue for prosecution. Often, it is up to you and I to protect ourselves and loved ones.
When this Lumberton, North Carolina grandfather saw his granddaughter in danger, he did just that!
Grandpa grabbed a gun and began shooting at the thugs. He killed one. The other two didn’t do so well either.
More good news: Grandpa got hit – but survived!! YEAH! Making this the feel-good story of the year!
67-year-old Kenneth Byrd, was seriously injured in the shootout with the three scumbags who had invaded their home. They had entered to terrorize Byrd, his wife and their teenage granddaughter.
A Lumberton man is recovering after exchanging gunfire with three suspects who forced their way into his home and allegedly attempted to rape his granddaughter. Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey said around 10 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to 67-year-Kenneth Byrd’s home in the 100 block of Yedda Road in east Lumberton about a reported shooting.
When authorities arrived, they found Byrd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. His wife, 65-year-old Judy Byrd, and their 19-year-old granddaughter were also at the home.
The family told officials that the incident started when a man came to their door claiming to have car problems and needed water. Two other men wearing black clothing, ski masks and gloves then forced their way into the house and demanded money.
All three suspects were armed.
The late 20-year-old Jamie Lee Faison, 28-year-old Brandon Carver Stephens of Fairmont (CENTER) who had recently been released from prison and 17-year-old Jamar Hawkins of Lumberton. One dead rat, two hurting POS who I only hope don’t recover either.
The elderly couple was forced to the back of the home and ordered to open a safe. Then the losers made their fatal mistake: They tried to rape the couple’s granddaughter, which prompted Kenneth Byrd to grab his gun and start blasting the bastards. Go Grandpa!
All the invaders were injured, before fleeing in Byrd’s gold Cadillac (of course he has a caddy!). 20-year-old Jamie Lee Faison, was later found dead from a gunshot wound inside Byrd’s stolen vehicle on Singletary Church Road in Lumberton. Shame. Hate when that happens.
For those of you keeping score, that’s Second Amendment: 3, Scumbags: 0
The reason gun laws are useless, is because criminals do not follow rules. There are plenty of laws on the books to prosecute criminals. Laws that only affect the average citizen make it more difficult for men like Byrd to protect his family.
This story happened a few years ago.
I believe it is always important to remember these wins for the 2nd Amendment.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Our founders understood the importance of being free to protect ourselves. Not only form thugs trying to do us harm, but from tyranny!
