Meghan McCain Slams Trump: ‘No One Will Ever Love You The Way They Loved My Father’

Meghan McCain lashed out at President Trump this weekend after he tweeted criticism of her late father’s involvement in giving the FBI a copy of the largely debunked Steele dossier, which purported nefarious ties between the president and Russia. She said that no one will ever love President Trump the way they loved her father, the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). That was a low blow and simply not true.

“No one will ever love you the way they loved my father…. I wish I had been given more Saturday’s with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on twitter obsessing over mine?” McCain wrote on Twitter. I feel for Meghan but the truth of her father’s actions will haunt and hurt her forever. He was not as beloved as she thinks or claims he was. Quite the opposite.

Michelle Malkin put it perfectly in a tweet she sent out:

“So many stains on the #GhostofJohnMcCain –
✔️Peddling fake dossier
✔️Blocking Obamacare repeal out of spite
✔️Amnesty betrayals and lies
✔️Soros-funded alliance
✔️McCain-Feingold abomination
✔️Global warming sellout
✔️TARP, AIG bailouts
✔️Keating Five
For starters.”

So, very true. Those that loved John McCain, for the most part, were leftists and moderates. He betrayed conservatives at every turn.

Former independent counsel Ken Starr appeared on Fox News and stated that while McCain was an “American hero,” if reports of his handling of the dossier are accurate, it would be a “very dark stain” on his legacy. And all indicators indeed point to just that. So, don’t let the grieving tears of a devoted daughter cement your image of a man who had many, many things to answer for. A man who was a power monger, dishonest and certainly not the man he was when he came home from fighting the enemy.

President Trump sent out his own tweet echoing Starr’s remark: “Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier “is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain. He had far worse “stains” than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!” That was not that long ago – Americans remember McCain’s sellout on Obamacare very clearly. Not to mention an infamous list of other actions by the Arizona Senator.

From Breitbart:

“In his autobiography, The Restless Wave, McCain wrote of the dossier that he “did what duty demanded I do” in handing it over to law enforcement. “I discharged that obligation, and I would do it again. Anyone who doesn’t like it can go to hell,” he declared.

“Meghan McCain’s latest remarks follow a series of critical statements about President Trump and his administration. Appearing on CNN with host Van Jones in late January, McCain said she hates the United States without her father’s leadership. “As an American, I hate this country without him in it. I know that sounds awful. I don’t hate America but I just hate it without his leadership,” she said when asked how she was handling her father’s passing.

“McCain infamously included several jabs at President Trump in her eulogy for her father.

“We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness,” she began. “The real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly.”

“In a veiled knock on the president’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan, she added, “The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.”

“In February, McCain discussed with late-night host Stephen Colbert her thoughts on President Trump’daughterer and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, attending her father’s funeral.

“I didn’t actually think about who would be attending the funeral, strangely,” McCain told the funnyman. “The answer is no, I did not know [Jared and Ivanka] would be attending his funeral. … I thought that my family had made it clear, or at least I had, that the Trumps are unwelcome around me… So I was surprised when they were there.”

“It made me uncomfortable,” she added, “and I hope I made them uncomfortable, honestly, with everything.”’

In a newly unsealed declaration from last September, former senior counterintelligence FBI agent Bill Priestap confirmed that the FBI received a copy of the first 33 pages of the dossier in December 2016 from Senator McCain. McCain had denied being the source for BuzzFeed after it published the dossier but acknowledged giving it to the FBI. Former State Department official David Kramer, an executive at the McCain Institute, met with BuzzFeed reporter Ken Bensinger on December 29, 2016, and passed on the information in the dossier, according to court documents. Two weeks later, Buzzfeed published the dossier, which exploded on the scene just days before Trump’s inauguration.

The filings were unsealed as part of an ongoing libel case against BuzzFeed by a Russian businessman. What this proves is that McCain was in the plot to take Trump down up to his eyeballs.

John McCain’s legacy will not be his military career… in the end, it will be how he helped Obamacare take hold and how he spearheaded a witch hunt against President Trump. He was not a friend to the right and he was certainly not loved as a weeping Meghan would have everyone believe.
