NY Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife can’t account for $850m in taxpayer money for mental health project

Read the following out loud to yourself: $850 million in American federal tax dollars is “missing” and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, can’t seem to account for the mass sum of money which was given to her non-profit “mental health project.”

Who is this woman who ‘Lost’ nearly a $Billion in taxpayer dollars, is Also Married to the Mayor and Hates President Donald Trump?

I can see why she hates Trump. This is the sort of graft and stealing of taxpayer money which the swamp is made of. What is really amazing is her ‘program’ hasn’t been stopped after she “can’t find” $850,000,000.00 of New Yorker’s tax money? How is that possible? Well, for starters, she’s married to the Mayor – that helps a whole lot – and the Mayor is, of course, a liberal Democrat.

The program is called ThriveNYC and reports suggest they have failed to keep accurate records of their spending and initiative achievements, upon which they appear to be falling well behind from their targeted goals.

Thrive keeps few records on their accomplishments or their spending, making it impossible to locate the money. Eight hundred fifty million dollars is nothing to sneeze at. No one is saying she took any money, but it does show she failed to provide oversight on the program. To make matters worse, they don’t even know if the program was successful or not.

Democrat Mega Scandal: NYC Mayor De Blasio Office Involved in Bribery, Prostitution and Illegal Weapons!

Multiple journalists and watch dogs have been painstakingly researching and reporting on this, but amazingly, the program is not only still going – they’re going to up the amount they ‘spend’!

From The Daily Mail:

Where has $850m gone? Bill de Blasio’s wife can’t account for staggering amount of taxpayer money that the NY Mayor gave her for mental health project. Bill de Blasio’s wife Chirlane McCray cannot explain where $850 million given to the mental health program she champions has gone, according to reports.

In the three years it has been running, organizers at ThriveNYC have largely failed to keep records of the initiative’s achievements – and data that has been collected shows it lagging well behind targets. Despite that, the program has been granted an even bigger budget going forward and is now on track to spend $1billion over five years.

From Politico:

Since its inception in 2015, ThriveNYC — the city’s sprawling $850 million initiative to address a variety of mental health issues — has operated without much scrutiny or accountability. Thrive said it has developed a list of 417 metrics to measure how effective the program is moving forward, but asked to assess its impact so far, Politico said the data was piecemeal and showed a largely failing picture.

Run by the mayor’s wife and closest adviser, Chirlane McCray, ThriveNYC sought to tackle issues like substance use, depression and suicide. It is meant to target low-income individuals who are often priced out of mental health care because those services are typically not covered by insurance. Thrive also is meant to focus on communities — African Americans, Latinos, military veterans — who are less likely to seek care for mental health problems…

The city would not make McCray available for a recent interview. In an interview with POLITICO in August, she acknowledged Thrive had not yet released data on its performance related to its mental health hotline, NYC Well.

“We do have some outcomes. I don’t know if we have them available yet, but we certainly are tracking what people are calling about, what they’re asking for, and as much demographic information as we can,” McCray said. “People are allowed to call anonymously, and the calls are confidential. We don’t have everything, but we do have quite a bit.”

Thrive has publicized some data through the mayor’s annual management report of all city agencies, beginning in 2016, but it encompassed only a fraction of the program’s scope.

POLITICO spoke to more than 16 people, including elected officials, advocates, representatives of community organizations, researchers and consultants who said that although it is crucial for the city to invest in mental health resources, they did not know whether Thrive was successful and said the city has an obligation to publicize its numbers and how it compares to the goals it set out to accomplish.

Some requested anonymity for fear of retaliation while others were more vocal in their critiques.

How does she feel about successful New York businessman and now President Trump? She compared Trump to Major Storms Harvey, Irma, Maria. Because they killed people. When asked about whether it is appropriate to compare the president to storms that have killed hundreds of people – she calmly explained:

I think that when you look at the damage that many of the policies that he has proposed can do to our citizens of the United States — absolutely. We’re talking about life or death issues. We’re talking about repealing the Affordable Care Act. I mean, just think about it for a minute. There are lives at stake. Repealing that law would just be, I mean, beyond devastating. Something that would affect millions and millions of people. I think it’s totally appropriate. Obviously, it’s a metaphor. It’s not to be taken literally. But I did mean that when I talk about the damage and the trauma that has been brought into our lives because of his presidency, that that’s very real.

How is someone is able to lose nearly a billion dollars? Gateway Pundit put it best: “The people of New York will put up with a lot, especially from a Democrat, but this is ridiculous.”
