This is just embarrassing. CNN’s Anderson Cooper — who is beyond friendly to Democrats — lobbed a simple legal question at Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) that should have been a no-brainer for a prosecutor. She claims that Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani has broken many laws, but when Cooper asked her which ones, she stuttered and said she didn’t know.
This happened Friday night on “Anderson Cooper 360” and Cooper asked Harris for her reaction to reports that Giuliani tried to override the Ukrainian embassy and State Department in an effort to get a visa for Viktor Shokin, a former Ukrainian prosecutor. Giuliani did nothing illegal in the least but according to Harris, he’s a bad, bad, naughty attorney that should be taken to the political woodshed. The only problem is, she can’t name a single law he’s broken. Not one.
From The Daily Caller:
“Harris said Giuliani “has clearly broken many laws,” adding that his actions are “further evidence of corruption” by the Trump administration and that they violate an “extraordinary number of rules and ethical laws.” When Cooper asked Harris what specific laws she believes Giuliani has broken, the senator seemed unable to answer directly.
“Well I, I, I don’t know,” Harris replied when Cooper asked her what specific laws she believes Giuliani has broken.
“We’re going to find out,” Harris continued. “But I think that the range includes not only abuse of power and perhaps misstatement and mischaracterization of his role and his responsibilities, but I also really do wonder, just instinctively, whether there’s been any bribery associated with Giuliani’s conduct.”
“I think there are a number of questions to be asked, and once the facts are transparent and have been available for Congress at the very beginning to see it, I think we’ll know what laws have been broken.”
“The interview follows months of controversy over a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. An August whistleblower complaint accused the president of asking Ukrainian officials to look into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. The complaint spurred on an official inquiry into the president by the House of Representatives.
“Giuliani defied a subpoena from the House Intelligence Committee on Oct. 15 as part of the impeachment inquiry, calling it “illegitimate, unconstitutional, and baseless.”

I think Giuliani is right about the impeachment inquiry. It is “illegitimate, unconstitutional, and baseless.” I would have defied that subpoena as well.
This makes Harris look really incompetent and dumb. She’s certain Giuliani has broken laws and committed crimes. She just can’t name them. I’m sure she’ll make some up in the end. Just like she says she’s using her ‘intuition’ that Giuliani bribed someone. I feel a slander lawsuit coming on here and Giuliani would be well within his rights to go after Harris over this smear campaign.
The only crime that Giuliani has committed here is being Trump’s personal attorney and for that, they want him tarred and feathered.
Harris may find that she is in need of an attorney herself when this is all done. And her campaign is tanking as well. I believe she stands at 5.4% among contenders for the Democratic nomination. Wonder if she’ll still have a job when this over. Frankly, she should be disbarred but that will never happen.
She has a horrid record as a prosecutor, holding people in jail beyond their sentenced term and insisting that people that are proven innocent stay in jail. And her history as a prosecutor seems to have just been erased. Now, she trades in lies to smear and denigrate her opponents. In other words, she’s now a typical Democrat.
Senator Kamala Harris has a law degree. She was the Attorney General of California. She sure doesn’t act like she’s qualified to be any of that. As the NOQ Report succinctly put it: “As a lawyer, a former District Attorney, and a United States Senator, one would expect Kamala Harris to be better prepared to answer a simple question about laws Rudy Giuliani allegedly committed after accusing him of breaking them. She wasn’t.”
One thing is for sure, it took just a single, dumb question to take Harris down. Imagine how well she would do as the Democrat nominee.
