And the mask comes completely off. According to Joy Behar of “The View,” politicians seeking to confiscate guns from Americans shouldn’t share their plans with the public beforehand and should seek to maintain an element of surprise. How very fascist but that is exactly the way the left thinks. They are Marxists and they will do anything to abolish the Second Amendment in this country. Because an armed populace is a free populace and they just can’t have that.
Behar was lamenting the end of 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke’s campaign. He is from Texas and the left held high hopes of turning that state blue and forever controlling politics in this country from here on out. She said it was foolish of him to announce his plans for gun confiscation before he was elected. She advised all politicians to go after the country’s guns after they’ve assumed office. “I think he suffered from premature evaluation,” Behar said. “When he starts early, and then you get to know them, and he can’t really step up to the plate as much as the anticipation.”
From Fox News:
“They should not tell everything they’re going to do. If you’re going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected — then take the guns away,” she said. “Don’t tell them ahead of time.”
“Co-host Meghan McCain also weighed in on the issue and said O’Rourke has poisoned the well and scared off independent voters from the Democratic party.
“I will also say that his stance on gun buybacks — Mayor Pete said it was a shiny object that distracts from achievable gun reform,” she said earlier in the interview. “That clip will be played for years… with organizations that try and scare people by saying that Democrats are coming for your guns.
“[Beto] also made some statements about religious institutions getting their tax-exempt status removed from them because they didn’t support same-sex marriage,” McCain continued. “He did a lot of, like, battleground culture war, and he ran as the most left, most woke candidate and look where he ended.”
“O’Rourke, a former congressman, dropped out of the 2020 race on Friday, telling supporters, “It is clear to me now that this campaign does not have the means to move forward successfully.
“My service to the country will not be as a candidate or as the nominee,” O’Rourke wrote in a post on Medium. “Acknowledging this now is in the best interests of those in the campaign; it is in the best interests of this party as we seek to unify around a nominee, and it is in the best interests of the country.”’
This is how Democrats truly feel about guns. And in the future, they will take Behar’s advice… they’ll wait until they get elected to a high political position and then move to seize our guns. Count on it.
Behar’s exact quote: “They should not tell everything they’re going to do,” Behar exclaimed. “Like, if you are going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected and then take the guns away. Don’t tell them ahead of time!” Spoken like a true totalitarian.
While many in the audience laughed and clapped, Meghan McCain sounded off: “By the way, that’s what people like me think they’re gonna do,” she responded. “That’s what people like me think is gonna happen, so I appreciate his honesty.” At least she got that right.
In June of 2019, the co-hosts suggested bypassing Congress to get anti-gun legislation passed. In 2017, the hosts railed against gun owners, advocating that certain guns should be banned. Also in 2017, Behar diminished the Second Amendment by claiming Canadians have more freedom than Americans and “zero” gun violence. Which, of course, is an outright lie.
If Behar thought that her quip on taking our guns was a funny joke, she should think Trump getting re-elected because of this kind of nonsense is hysterical.
