Joe Biden Shockingly Asks His Audience To Imagine What Would Have Happened If Barack Obama Had Been Assassinated

Every time I watch former Vice President Joe Biden, I feel like I’m watching a scene from one of my all-time favorite movies: “My Fellow Americans.” Biden would surely have been a worthy vice president in that movie. Watch it… you’ll get my drift. Biden asked an audience in New Hampshire on Friday to imagine what would have happened “if, G-d forbid, Barack Obama had been assassinated” after winning the 2008 Democratic primary. Just wow.

I really hope that Biden gets the Democratic nomination. President Trump will be able to laugh and joke all the way into a second term, no worries. It will be fascinating to watch the media cover for Sleepy Joe and to watch the Dems squirm over gaffe after gaffe. I feel a movie coming on – another comedy.

Biden was speaking at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire when he made the stunning request of his audience. He asked them basically to fantasize for a moment that Obama was taken out after being elected. He was trying to compare Obama to Robert F. Kennedy, who was assassinated by Palestinian radical Sirhan Sirhan on June 6, 1968, mere moments after winning the California Democratic Primary, virtually assuring him the party’s nomination. It was a poor analogy and in very bad political taste.

The former vice president also drew parallels to the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on April 4, 1968. What’s with the assassination fantasy here? Just bizarre.

Biden’s full quote reads as follows:

I think of where we are at the moment. You know, none of you men are old — women are old enough, but a couple of you guys are old enough to remember. I graduated in 1968. Everybody before me was, drop out, go to Haight-Ashbury, don’t trust anybody over 30, everybody not getting involved. I’m serious, I know no woman will shake their head and acknowledge it, but you guys know what I’m talking about. Right? But then what happened? Dr. Ki— I only have two political heroes. I have one hero who was my dad, but I have two political heroes were Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy. My senior semester they were both shot and killed. Imagine what would have happened if, G-d forbid, Barack Obama had been assassinated after becoming the de facto nominee. What would have happened in America?

And here is the real kicker. Biden also compared the assassinations of Kennedy and King to the election of President Trump in 2016. He was referring to the effect those events had on inspiring left-wing activists. So, in a twisted manner… he’s alluding both to the possibility of Trump being assassinated (which would be his own fault evidently) and to Trump causing leaders to be taken out because of radical activists on the right. It’s confusing and makes no sense as usual.

“Unless I’m mistaken, Donald Trump did for your generation what the loss of two of my heroes did for mine,” he said, according to the New York Times, adding, “What they did was make you realize, my G-d, we’re in trouble.” I hate to break it to Biden but we knew we were in big trouble when Obama was elected… twice.

Biden brought up RFK and MLK at another recent event, appearing to be momentarily confused about the dates of their assassinations “in the ’70s, late ’70s,” at an event in Urbandale, Iowa. Wrong decade, Joe. Makes you wonder about his mental acuity.

The timing of the rhetorical question by Biden seemed all the more strange, considering it came just hours after the Biden campaign sought to exploit the 76-year-old’s links to Obama, commemorating the 11th anniversary of him being selected as his vice president on Twitter.

The shocking gaffe also came amid mounting scrutiny regarding the presidential hopeful’s numerous blunders and slip-ups during televised interviews and campaign speeches, which have been frequent since he launched his White House bid in April. Even the left is worried about Biden’s fitness to be president here.

In both his speeches that same night, Biden made several slip-ups and problematic comments as he attempted to rile the crowd. During a lecture about teachers, Biden made reference to his educator wife, Jill, in which he said if he didn’t support teachers, “I would be sleeping alone.” In his final event of the day, Biden spoke about taking away tax breaks for America’s most wealthy. He said: “I find most rich people are as patriotic as poor people.”

Because of all this, his campaign is seriously considering limiting Biden’s appearances. Not a good look for a presidential candidate by any means. His gaffes are legendary. Such misstatements have included declaring that poor children are ‘just as bright’ as white children, and he even claimed to be vice president during the Parkland school shooting in 2018, despite having left office more than a year earlier.

The 2020 Democratic favorite has said he supports ‘truth over facts’ and incorrectly stated that two mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton earlier this month occurred in Michigan and Houston. Then there was Biden’s talk about his actual healthcare plan. While the public option of his plan will not have great quality, it will at least be affordable. Huh?

Someone needs to make sure Biden sticks to his teleprompter. Going off-script is deadly for this guy. If this is the best the left has to offer, then all hail President Trump in 2020.
