Nancy Pelosi Demands Trump Bow To Her & Ilhan Omar, Insists President Trump Removes Viral Twitter Video
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has jumped on the bandwagon that using people’s own words in Tweets constitutes a hate crime and the only thing that will ensure the safety of Democratic Muslim Representative Ilhan Omar after President Donald Trump removes a tweet which contained video footage, showing “the Minnesota Democrat being dismissive of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.” Fox reports:
The California Democrat also called on Trump to take down the video. That same day, the video was no longer pinned to the top of Trump’s Twitter feed, although it was not clear whether it was because of Pelosi’s request.
Pelosi was among numerous Democrats who had criticized Trump over the tweet, with some accusing him of trying to incite violence against the Muslim lawmaker.
The White House defended Trump earlier Sunday, saying the president had a duty to highlight Omar’s history of comments that others have found offensive and that he wished no “ill will” upon the first-term lawmaker.
House Speaker Pelosi was on her way to London when she issued her statement. She said that she had talked to congressional authorities after seeing President Trump’s tweet in order “to ensure that Capitol Police are conducting a security assessment to safeguard Congresswoman Omar, her family and her staff.”
“They will continue to monitor and address the threats she faces,” Speaker Pelosi stated. She then called on the President to order against this kind of behavior.
She continued, “The President’s words weigh a ton, and his hateful and inflammatory rhetoric creates real danger. President Trump must take down his disrespectful and dangerous video.”
Then I ask you, Speaker Pelosi – what about this?

The video footage that President Trump tweeted out showed a short bit of a speech Omar recently gave to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), during which she stated that the organization was founded following the 9/11 attacks, “because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
The problem with her claim is that CAIR was founded in 1994.
The video footage that President Trump sent out in the tweet showed news coverage of the attacks. The tweet was captioned, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!”

Fox News reports:
Critics accused Omar of offering a flippant description of the attackers who killed nearly 3,000 people. She later sought to defend herself by tweeting a quote from President George W. Bush. Days after 9/11, the Republican president referred to the attackers as “people.”
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders questioned why Democrats weren’t following Trump’s example and calling out Omar, too. Democrats who criticized the president over the tweet defended Omar. Some also noted their past disagreements with her.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated, “Certainly the president is wishing no ill will and certainly not violence towards anyone, but the president is absolutely and should be calling out the congresswoman for her not only one time but history of anti-Semitic comments. The bigger question is, why aren’t Democrats doing the same thing? It’s absolutely abhorrent the comments that she continues to make and has made and they look the other way.”
Fox explains, “Omar repeatedly has pushed fellow Democrats into uncomfortable territory with comments about Israel and the strength of its influence in Washington. She apologized for suggesting that lawmakers support Israel for pay and said she wasn’t criticizing Jews. But, she refused to take back a tweet in which she suggested American supporters of Israel ‘pledge allegiance’ to a foreign country.”
Just a few weeks ago, Omar (D-MN) was confronted by roughly 1,500 protesters in Los Angeles, California outside her Southern California fundraising event for the local chapter of a major advocacy group representing Muslim-Americans. Omar spoke at the event and it was clandestinely caught on video. It was not a warm welcome by any means for the freshman congresswoman.
Hundreds of protesters lined the sidewalk area. They waved Israeli flags and decried recent anti-Semitic remarks by Omar. The atmosphere was a mix of dancing and music mixed with the vitriolic comments against Omar. Many were wearing MAGA hats. At one point, banners, placed by activist Laura Loomer, were unfurled from two balconies, reading “Ilhan Hates Israel” and “CAIR Hates Jews.”
A few did show up outside the event to support Omar. But not many.
