Authorities from Palm Beach County, Florida have verified that a 34-year-old illegal immigrant named Joel Bautista Trinidad was detained and arrested by law enforcement officials last Monday. His victim’s mother reported him to police when she found her 12-year-old daughter had sexually explicit text messages on her phone from Trinidad.
Authorities have admitted to different media outlets that a week or so after meeting the 12-year-old girl and her 2-year-old sister, he met with them again at a donut shop. After sexually abusing them he took them to school. He is also accused of threatening her via text message and telling her that he was spying on her family.
The victims told police officers that they were assaulted twice and that it was the second time that Trinidad actually had sex with them. The pre-teen victim indicated it was a physically painful experience.
“According to the texts in the arrest report, Trinidad asked the girl first if she would have sex for money and then if her friends would have sex with men for money, and told her she and he could make a lot of money by selling the girls.”
Once his criminal case has completed the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicated they would do an extensive review of his immigration status. Following his arrest ICE placed an immigration detainer on Trinidad. His current charges include sexual battery, human trafficking, as well as lewd and lascivious molestation.
This story is exactly the reason why President Trump noted during his first joint session speech before Congress that he intends on creating an office within the Department of Homeland Security that will be tasked with collecting and making available to the public a database of criminal illegal aliens. This type of database would allow people to remain vigilant to the issue of criminal illegal aliens.
It would also provide people the opportunity to more easily protect themselves and their children by acting as another background check barrier for parents. The issue is not a non-issue. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that over 212,000 criminal aliens had been arrested since June of 2011. Over 66 percent of those people were here illegally! The end result has been over 251,000 convictions.
This is just in Texas! Allowing criminal illegal aliens to roam free is not an act of mercy or compassion but of utter stupidity. We are only putting our own families and children at risk by allowing these catch and release policies to continue. But President Trump is working to put a stop to that. Between his inauguration and April 29th over 41,000 illegal immigrants were arrested by ICE officers. Approximately 75 percent of those that were arrested were already convicted criminals. Close to 2,700 of them had been convicted of serious felony crimes such as assault, kidnapping, homicide, and rape.
ICE acting director Thomas Homan said the following about the arrests,
“ICE agents and officers have been given clear direction to focus on threats to public safety and national security, which has resulted in a substantial increase in the arrest of convicted criminal aliens. However, when we encounter others who are in the country unlawfully, we will execute our sworn duty and enforce the law.”
Increased border security, a border wall, and a national database are just the start to what this administration is going to do to combat the threat of criminal illegal aliens such as Trinidad that try to take advantage of young American children and sell them into prostitution. Unlike the former administration that stood idly by while a crime was committed the new President would never allow that to happen.
