With the FBI in a “freefall,” agents who worked under the Obama Administration are lining up to testify against James Comey.

Two lawyers, Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing are speaking with media to spread the news that there are numerous FBI agents, former and current who are looking forward to telling stories about life in the FBI under Comey.

Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing

As a husband-and-wife team of lawyers, diGenova and Toensing specialize in white-collar criminal defense and have represented whistleblowers in the past. DiGenova is a former federal prosecutor.

During the late 1990s, they were often appearing in media to talk about the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinksy case, prompting this line from a 1998 article printed by CNN:

Joseph Digenova, a Washington attorney, alleged Sunday that he and his wife, Victoria Toensing, are being investigated by people loyal to Clinton because of their outspokeness in the case.

James Comey, FBI Director

James Comey took over from Robert Mueller as the head of the FBI, and he served his position under Obama from 2013 to May 2017 when he was booted under Trump. From there, Andrew McCabe took charge until August of last summer and now, it’s Christopher Wray.

Agents Identify Names

According to the two lawyers, agents are motivated by a distaste of the actions of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch and John Brennan.

The agents who identify these names say that they want to testify due to their own love of country .

“They are just waiting for a chance to come forward and testify.”

DiGenova spoke with The Daily Caller, a magazine associated with Tucker Carlson, who verified the identities of the people willing to speak to media about the agents.

Waiting for Michael Horowitz’s Report

The agents are waiting in the wings to let their stories be known, but are waiting for the Inspector General’s report to be release. Michael Horowitz has drafted a report on the FBI and the CIA’s meddling during the election cycle, and he is reportedly looking into information associated with Anthony Weiner.

It is believed that the major hold-up on its release is due to findings in the chain of events that led Anthony Weiner’s sexting laptop to end up playing an integral role in the destruction of Hillary Clinton by harboring missing emails that were accidentally downloaded by Huma Abedin during the campaign.

The report was supposed to be out before the end of the month, but Horowitz has told Congress that he is still working on the final draft.

Once that report is released, the agents are expected to be subpoenaed for more information.

Agents Prefer Subpoena to Whistleblowing

According to one of the people working with DiGenova, agents would rather be legally subpoenaed because it’s better in every way:

“…because when you are subpoenaed, Congress then pays…for your legal counsel and the subpoena protects [the agent] from any organizational retaliation…. they are on their own as whistleblowers, they get no legal protection and there will be organizational retaliation against them.”

Instead of whistleblowing now and diving millions into debt in legal fees and never finding working again, the agents are looking forward to the official summons to speak with Congress and the law.

Congress Must Act

The husband-wife team are guessing that the current leader of the FBI, Chris Wray has removed himself from view during the fallout, where he may be busy “cleaning house” quietly.

DiGenova says that he thinks the FBI is “in a freefall” thanks to Comey, who “destroyed the institution he claims to love.”

So, Congress must act quickly when they receive the report from IG Horowitz, because the credibility of the FBI is in the tank thanks to the names dropped by the agents. Another verified associate of diGenova said:

“Every special agent I have spoken to in the Washington Field Office wants to see McCabe prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They feel the same way about Comey. The administrations are so politicized that any time a Special Agent comes forward as a whistleblower, they can expect to be thrown under the bus by leadership.”

Going on, the associate said that all Congress has to do is issue subpoena to FBI personnel and give them a platform, because nobody in any other leadership can prevent those personnel from responding and accessing that free legal counsel.

Which Committee Must Subpoena

According to diGenova, the two committees which should be most interested in Horowitz’ report and in speaking with FBI are the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, which are both authorized to call up the agents. Continuing, he said that he’s been approached by agents who actively want to be brought in front of those committees, including “the big ones, the ones that matter.”
