On Easter Sunday, a woman walked into a church holding a gun in one hand and her infant son in the other. Then she threatened to blow the building up. She pointed the gun at the baby and then churchgoers tackled and took her down. They took the baby away until the police could arrive. Anna Conkey, 31, stormed into the Tsidkenu Church in the Clairemont area of San Diego on Sunday while waving the handgun around, police say.
She walked onto the stage of the church and started talking about the rapture while grasping her 10-month-old boy. It was later discovered that the guns she carried were not loaded. Anna Conkey is also a Navy veteran and obviously mentally unhinged. The icing on the cake is that she reportedly served as a digital media producer at NBC 7 San Diego and in the United States Navy
The pastor, Benjamin Wisan said Conkey had attended the church before but had left. In fact, Conkey has had negative interactions with her church in the past, and this is not the first time that church members have called the police on her.
Conkey has made a number of YouTube videos where she has ranted that Jesus is a ‘liar’ and the Bible is a ‘trap’. She talks of end times eschatology and the rapture.
“The female walked up on stage and made threats that she was going to blow up the church while waving the handgun,” San Diego Police said in a news release. The child was unharmed and no one was injured during the confrontation. As the church members started to slowly approach her, she pointed her gun at several parishioners and then her own baby, telling them not to come any closer. That’s when she was tackled.
When police arrived minutes later, the woman tried to escape. One officer tackled her through a row of chairs and she was taken into custody. The officers took the child to safety and are checking on the status of the woman’s other child, a little girl.

“She was saying craziness about the rapture not being real, and everyone going to hell,” one witness recalled. Conkey posted hour-long videos to a YouTube channel in which she claimed there was ‘great deception’ happening in churches and synagogues.
Just hours before making her appearance at the church, she posted a passage from The Book of Zechariah 10:2: “For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies, and tell false dreams; they comfort in vain. Therefore the people wend their way like sheep; they are in trouble because there is no shepherd.”
On April 7, she wrote: “The one who came as Jesus was a liar!!! Another word for “The Comforter” is The Advocate! Why would he say that unless he’s the Adversary??? Which means that since we’ve been worshipping him as God and believing everything he said, we’ve all be deceived.”
“But the #greatdeception is even more than that…please read my video descriptions in this and in my other videos too!! I’m not trying to make a name for myself or anything—but this is finally the Truth!!!!!”
From The Daily Mail:
“On Sunday, the pastor said that Conkey seemed confused and he described her as being ‘not in her right mind.’
“He said that instead of speaking, Conkey was just uttering random words, and that nobody could understand what she wanted.
“David Michael Miller, a serviceman who was attending services and helped subdue the woman, described the bizarre incident to ABC 7.
“‘After she started pointing the gun at the baby one of the older gentlemen grabbed it from her and then me and a couple of other men tackled her.
“‘We got the baby away from her. A few minutes after that, the cops came in. She was trying to run away or something so a cop tackled her through a row of chairs. They arrested her and pulled another gun out of her bra.’
“Conkey’s baby and her five-year-old daughter, who was found nearby, were taken into protective custody.”
According to San Diego police, the incident happened just after 12 p.m. at 4350 Mt. Everest Blvd. at Tsidkenu Church, a non-denominational church on the property of Mt. Everest Academy. Mt. Everest Academy is an independent study school that serves grades K-12.
The woman is being charged with making criminal threats and “displaying a handgun in a threatening manner.” I foresee a psychiatric evaluation and commitment in this woman’s future. The RightScoop nailed it again: “I’m telling ya, she’s lucky to be alive. Someone there could have easily had a gun (with only 10 rounds of course – it’s California) and shot her in defense of the church. And it would have been legit.”
