El Paso and Dayton shooters are both Progressive Leftist- How the media is lying to you
Opinion by Kimberly Coulter – Most news articles, presidential candidates, and political influencers have been quick to denounce President Donald Trump alleging that the El Paso shooting, as well as the subsequent mass shooting. in Dayton, Ohio were caused because of his rhetoric.
This accusation is running off the assumption that the shooters, particularly the El Paso shooter in light of his manifesto, had motivations linked to white nationalist terrorism.
Investigators claim they are “reasonably confident” that the El Paso manifesto was written by the shooter. Commentators have been quick to refer back to the Christchurch shooting manifesto for comparison. Despite being debunked and verified as a hoax, there are still major news networks sharing the 87 page “white nationalist manifesto” that was also published to 8chan before the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand. Relying on the short attention span of the 24 hour new cycle is a major tactic used by many different publications to get around telling the whole story. Given how little time has gone by since these shootings, it is disingenuous to allude that anyone is anywhere near having concrete answers. In the aftermath of these shootings, 8chan creator decided to shut down the site.
There is no denying. the xenophobic language of the manifesto, however when people like Kamala Harris make bold claims about how this is a “hate crime, and an act of domestic terrorism,” she bases these assumptions off of what has yet to be verified by the authorities. You can not take these statements as the word of the law.
The next step, assuming that the manifesto is credibly linked to the suspect, is being honest about the language he uses. An honest reflection of the alleged manifesto reveals his true political ideology to be that of a Progressive Leftist.
“The section of his manifesto entitled “Economic Reasons” is by far the most shocking part, in terms of directly contradicting the media spin that this shooter was somehow far-right.” He explicitly expresses his support for “a basic universal income,” which he says is the only thing that can “prevent widespread poverty and civil unrest,” as reported by Sebastian Gorka PhD. ” So clearly this killer supports some of the most openly socialist policies in American political discourse today, including universal income, socialized medicine, and a belief in “global warming.” Yet, according to the media, he is somehow just another “far-right” shooter who has been motivated by President Trump.”
Gorka further points out that normally the right thing would be to shun the actions of this individual, and not give media credit to someone who seeks infamy. For that reason, I chose to refer to the shootings by location. This is a particular instance where the proof is written in plain english, and it is important to analyze the manifesto in light of the lies that the mainstream are passing off as breaking news.
The manifesto calls out a hatred for both political left, and right. He lays out ideals that are fundamentally the opposite of any far right leaning political individual.
The manifesto even brings up Trump. He admits that his “ideology has not changed for several years,” and that his “opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president.” He further states “I’m putting this here because some people will blame the President or certain presidential candidates for the attack. This is not the case. I know that the media will probably call me a white supremacist anyway and blame Trump’s rhetoric.”
This is just another example of people in the mainstream media misrepresenting the facts in order to give you, the reader, selective pieces of the narrative reconstructed to either virtue signal or push their anti gun narrative. With #orangemanbad and other common trends that are commonalities between social media and mainstream media, there are a great number of people who will grasp at any straw in attempt to demonstrate how progressive and not racist they are. They will try their best to point fingers at Trumps rhetoric then lie about the same manifesto that is being offered to prove that this is all Trumps fault in the first place.
The fact that the manifesto directly calls out the narrative of the mainstream media before it happens is the biggest indication of how misguiding these headlines have been concerning the murders in El Paso. The evidence will become less blurry after more time has past, and the authorities confirm the evidence they have analyzed.
In the case of Dayton, Ohio, it is undeniable that he was a self proclaimed leftist who vocally supported tweets that called for the deaths of prominent conservative media figures such as Jack Posobiec Ali Alexander, and Mike Cernovich. The shooter had liked a few of these tweets only hours before going on a shooting spree.
There is also an active fake account impersonating the social media of the Dayton shooter. This can be used, and misquoted as a tactic in media warfare. How many news outlets will share tweets from this account passing it off as real? This would follow the pattern of reports on the last couple of days.
Both the shooters are probably members of the “progressive left.” We know that isn’t the common narrative, and when the existence of @iamthespookster was brought to the attention of social media, individuals have gone so far as to delete their accounts to try to erase the history of interactions with know radical antifa groups and rhetoric that would prove his connection to the antifa terrorist ideology.
Pray and mourn those who lost their lives or their loved ones.
Pray for those who are reviving death threats from radicalized terrorists.
Pray for an end in violence.
In times like these it’s important to remember the serenity prayer.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
