Don’t Let Your Kids Go To North Korea!

As a parent it’s hard to imagine your 22-year-old son traveling abroad and then within 24 hours getting a call from the State Department asking you if your son takes any medicine? Say what? That’s how the parents of Otto Frederick Warmbier, a University of Virginia student, heard about their son’s detainment in North Korea. How insane is that?

Otto Warmbier was detained on January 2, 2016 in North Korea last year, for allegedly stealing a North Korean banner containing a political slogan that was hanging from a wall in his Pyongyang hotel. According to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or the DPRK, they believe Otto was encouraged to comit this “hostile act” by a “secretive university organization” and even the CIA.

Here was the original story from Fox News over a year ago:

Otto’s parents, Fred and Cindy Warmbier, in the past, spoke to Secretary of State, John Kerry, who basically told them to keep it quiet. Afterall, do you really think Obama’s administration wanted Americans to know about this incident? Do you think they wanted Americans to know they had done NOTHING to secure their son’s release? Or that they actually instead blamed the parents for their son’s detainment and arrest? INSANITY!

Of course, what did Obama expect when he gave the Iranians $1.7 million for hostages? When America sends a message that they will pay for hostages, well, the fact is other countries want a piece of that and want a similar reward. That’s what happens when Obama was in charge and America caved to bullies versus Trump bombing the shit out of their tunnels and rat holes lke ISIS in Afghanistan.

Now that President Trump is in office, the Warmbiers have new hope and are speaking out….LOUD and CLEAR about their son, Otto Warmbier who’s still detained in North Korea.

H/T Fox News:

Parents of Otto Warmbier, US citizen detained in North Korea, want son to be part of negotiations

As tensions between the United States and North Korea mount over the defiant dictatorship’s rogue atomic weapons program, the parents of the imprisoned American Otto Warmbier told Fox News on Monday they can’t let their son’s story get lost amid the nuclear noise.

The 22-year-old Warmbier has served just over a year of his 15-year sentence — allegedly for taking down a sign of the dead dictator Kim Jong Il while Warmbier was in the country with a tour group. And now, with the U.S. stepping up pressure – and likely sanctions – on an increasingly hostile North Korea, Warmbier’s parents hope their son is part of any negotiations, should the reclusive regime seek to come to the bargaining table.

“Nothing Otto may or may not have done in North Korea rises to this level of punishment,” Fred Warmbier told “Fox & Friends” on Monday. “We’re here to make sure that Otto is included in any dialogue or diplomacy with North Korea.”

Here’s the Warmbiers recently on Fox News with Tucker Carlson:

Obama’s Administration – “Does Otto take medicine?” – that’s how the Warmbiers found out about their son being detained! INSANITY!!!

Mr. Warmbier said about John Kerry – “totally exasperated and overwhelmed with North Korea!”

Someone from Obama’s administration and state dept judged and blamed the parents for their son’s detainment.

Fred Warmbier said he and his wife, Cindy, were “urged to keep quiet” about their son’s plight by the Obama administration.

Yeah! Better for the Democrats and Bureacrats! IDIOTS!

“They feel you don’t get involved that way,” Fred said. “It lets the other side solve problems and make things happen.”

But with the new Trump administration the Warmbiers have new sensation of hope.

“You are doing a great job,” Cindy Warmbier said, directly addressing President Trump, who is known to watch the program. “Thank you for putting attention on something that needs to be addressed.”

She added: “We think this would just be a great goodwill gesture and a good start of dialogue to release Otto now.”

Until he comes home, the last memory the Warmbiers have of Otto is watching their son tearfully deliver a coerced “confession” on North Korea state television.

“When I see the picture of Otto going on TV with that confession, that’s not the image I have of my son in my heart,” Fred Warmbier said. “The image I have of my son is playing soccer three short years ago in high school.”

North Korea sometimes uses the detention of foreigners as a means of exerting pressure on its adversaries.

I’m certainly not condoning what Otto did as innocent, but on the other hand, since when is stealing a poster a crime punishable for 15-20 years! Come on!

This is what Obama’s weakness as a leader has done to America. Every idiot from here to Timbuktoo thinks they can now kidnap any American and get billions in ransom money in return. Thanks Obama.

But now, there’s a new sheriff in town and the Warmbiers and other countries have seen President Trump in action, and I do mean action. Trump is not Obama. He will not put up with idiots or bullies.

Don’t believe me? Did you see when Trump sent this message to Syria?…59 Tomahawk missiles to be exact.

Or how about when Trump sent this message to ISIS?…the ‘mother load of all bombs’…a MOAB.

Which do you think was a better response and sent a clearer message about America’s leadership to the rest of the world? Obama’s words or Trump’s actions? Now, I guess you can understand why the Warmbiers feel a little different about their son’s future and have a little more hope. Obama’s words didn’t work. Trump’s actions – one way or another will be different.

God Bless the Warmbiers. Prayers to them and their son. May God watch over Otto and keep him safe, until he is back in America where he belongs.

Mr Warmbier is actually the third Westerner known to be held in North Korea.

Hyeon Soo Lim, a Canadian pastor of South Korean origin, was sentenced to life imprisonment in December for an alleged plot to overthrow the government.

In addition, a Korean-American is also thought to be in North Korean detention on charges of spying.

I’m betting President Trump will not respond to North Korea in the same way that President Obama responded to Iran with a ransom of $1.7 million for prisoners.

Hey Fat Boy! Have you seen what’s in your backyard lately?

What say you?…..
