Cher is going bonkers on President Trump and his supporters once again with yet another whacked conspiracy theory. This time, she is proclaiming that Trump will put gay people in ‘internment camps’ if re-elected. Cher goes there: “Trump’s 1st Republican Pres.2 Acknowledge LGBT Pride Month.IF trump WINS 2020, HE’LL BE 1ST 2 STRIP U OF’ALL’PROTECTIONS,& PUT U IN INTERNMENT CAMPS‼️HE’LL PUT HIS✋🏻ON UR SHOULDER & STICK HIS🔪IN UR BACK.🙏🏻WAKE UP & SMELL PAIN, HIS BASE WANTS U GONE.”
This was evidently in response to a BuzzFeed piece on Trump becoming the first U.S. president to recognize LGBTQ Pride month. The left is beside themselves over his move. Instead of eliciting praise from the singer, who has a gay child, it incensed rage in Cher and triggered her big time. This is typical for Cher on social media especially when she’s had one substance or another that makes her loopy. Thus the illiterate and incoherent nature of her tweet.
The BuzzFeed story aired immediately after the White House announced on Friday that they would be recognizing LGBTQ Pride Month.
“As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation,” the White House statement read, “let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation,” Trump wrote in a series of tweets. “My Administration has launched a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality and invite all nations to join us in this effort!”

From Fox News:
“President Donald Trump is tweeting in support of LGBT people to mark LGBT Pride Month. His tweets come one week after his administration moved to revoke newly won health care discrimination protections for transgender people.
“That move was the latest in a series of actions by the Trump administration that aim to reverse gains by LGBTQ Americans in areas including the military, housing and education.
“In his tweets Friday, Trump says he wants to “recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation.”
“The president says other nations “punish, imprison or even execute individuals on the basis of sexual orientation.” He says the U.S. has a “global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality.”
“Advocates for LGBT people say the Trump administration has been undermining nondiscrimination protections.”

The president’s supporters praised him for being the first Republican president to acknowledge the LGBTQ community and hailed Trump’s acknowledgment of Pride Month, which occurs each June in memory of the Stonewall riots. “Been waiting all my life for a Republican to show this kind of leadership,” tweeted Gregory T. Angelo, a communications specialist who recently stepped down as president of the Log Cabin Republicans, which represents LGBTQ conservatives. “THANK YOU PRESIDENT TRUMP!”
Kellyanne Conway told reporters on Friday that Trump’s efforts should be applauded, pointing out that President Barack Obama, whose administration oversaw a series of regulations meant to protect LGBTQ rights, did not initially take office as a public defender of same-sex marriage. “He’s the first president to start as president for approving of gay marriage,” Conway stated.
“I’m old enough to remember the 2008 campaign where Hillary and Obama were arguing with each other as to who was more for traditional marriage. It wasn’t so long ago,” she said, noting that Trump is “the first president to start as president, approving of gay marriage. That’s something he should be lauded for.”
In February, the Trump administration launched a worldwide campaign to decriminalize homosexuality. The initiative is being spearheaded by U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, whom Trump nominated for the post and who is among the highest-ranking openly gay officials ever to serve in the U.S. government. So Cher’s fear-mongering is baseless as it usually is. She should put the bottle down and back away from social media over this one.
