President Trump filed 2020 campaign papers on inauguration day, but today he declared officially he is running and even named Brad Parscale as his campaign manager.

The bold move by President Trump comes 980 days before Election Day 2020, a historical record. Obama announced 582 days before the end of his first term.

Parscale, a pioneer in the San Antonio tech scene who worked with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016 will run the president’s full campaign in 2020.

“Brad is an amazing talent and was pivotal to our success in 2016. He has our family’s complete trust. He is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign,” Eric Trump, the president’s son, said in a statement.

The move to openly declare his re-election campaign is sure to stir up the political world.

Say what you want about President Trump, he is very sly at out-maneuvering liberal elites. By filing with the FEC to run on inauguration day, he had literally shut down nonprofit organizations. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are no longer be able to engage in “political speech” which could theoretically affect the results of the 2020 Presidential Election without running the risk of losing their nonprofit status.

Now that he has publically announced, it is game on. Parscale, an expert at technology and data-driven approach of a campaign, will soon begin creating an election machine that was basically absent in the 2016 campaign. He has two years to turn the unorganized ‘Team Trump’ into the well-oiled machine that Hillary had inherited from Obama.

That could well make Trump unstoppable. It could as well have a great effect on the 2018 midterms.

The President is well on his way to have an incredibly positive year, which could hand the GOP more seats on Capitol Hill, as well as springboard for a successful 2020.

The GOP tax bill, especially the drop in the corporate tax rate, has just begun boosting the economy. Hundreds of companies have promised investment in employees and wage increases. The support for the bill has dramatically shifted into the positive, even as high ranking democrats like Nancy Pelosi continue to decry the bill as a catastrophe.

Politics can always be summed up: “It is the economy, stupid!” and the economy is in full gear and revving higher.

With unprecedented speed, the Trump administration has also already implemented much of the agenda it promised voters.

In fact, nearly two-thirds of the 334 agenda items called for by the Heritage Foundation, a pace faster than former President Reagan who embraced the conservative think tank’s legendary “Mandate for Leadership” blueprint.

Thomas Binion, Director of Congressional and Executive Branch Relations at Heritage, said that Trump has implemented 64 percent of the “unique policy recommendations” from the group.

At this stage of his presidency, Reagan had completed 49 percent of the Heritage policy recommendations.

“We’re blown away,” Binion said in an interview. Trump, he said, “is very active, very conservative, and very effective.”

The lack of any leak, whatsoever, from the Russian collusion investigation showing Trump did any colluding should scare any Democrat that put their eggs in that basket.

Democrats have dropped double digits in the generic congressional ballot within the weeks that people began to feel the effects of the tax cuts.

Not only does it look like the President and the GOP are up for a very good year, the Democrats are flailing.

They had a +15 on the generic congressional ballot just a couple months ago. They are now in the negative by at least two.

There is infighting among high ranking Democrats on whether Pelosi should disappear and Senator Diane Feinstein just lost the California Democrat Party endorsement. The far left has taken full control of the party.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday that the Justice Department will investigate potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. It looks like the results will be just in time to also affect the midterms.

The Democrats got handed the blame for shutting down the government. They are also now in hot water for refusing to help the ‘Dreamers’.

It is all coming together to create a perfect storm for the GOP. (As long as Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell do not waste it.)

The large majority of Americans liked what the President said in the SOTU. While his popularity has often been low by a majority pf Americans, it has continued to rise. It was even higher this month as Obama was during the same time frame.

The Trump campaign said it plans to be engaged in the 2018 elections:

“Providing candidates with general support, endorsements. Rallying the support of the political grassroots by engaging Trump supporters in districts and states.”

What happens as we go forward? We will see.

But if the 2018 elections rock for the GOP…

And Trump continues to rise in popularity…

And the socialist continue to control the Democrat party…

They could be in very serious trouble for years to come.
