Gov Advisory Group: Abortion is Safe, Effective
“The vast majority of abortions can be provided safely,” says a new report funded by groups associated with Hewlett-Packard, Warren Buffett and Bernie Madoff.
Already, the outrageous press release announcing the full report is being denounced by religious leaders for treating the murder of infants as if it were the same as getting a wart removed.
National Academies of Science, Engineering, Medicine
The group, also known as the National Academies or NASEM includes around 2,000 American members 350 foreign associates. Eighty-four new members are elected by current members every year, which is an effective way of making sure that no new belief systems enter their in-group. The group was originally approved by Abraham Lincoln who charged them with “providing independent, objective advice” to the nation.
Their president is currently Marcia McNutt, who recently gave this as the definition of “science:”
“Science is not a body of facts. Science is a method for deciding whether what we choose to believe has a basis in the laws of nature or not.”
Hey, at least she admits that it’s what she chooses to believe.
Study: ‘The Safety and Quality of Abortion Care in the US’
There are a number of topics covered in the report which is a study arranged and approved by a committee of National Academies members.
Starting off with the first outrage of the paper, they say that the number of abortions is decreasing, which is good — but they actually blame this on the poor availability of abortions:
“The abortion rate among U.S. women has been steadily declining, reaching a historic low of 14.6 per 1,000 or a total of 926,190 in 2014. This decline has been attributed to the…increasing numbers of state regulations that limit the availability of otherwise legal abortion services.”
They go on to describe the different types of abortions, based on how far along the mother is in her pregnancy. They use terms like “aspiration procedures” and “dilation and evacuation” to describe the murder and suctioning of children.
‘Safe And Effective’
The different types of abortion procedures are described as such:
“Legal abortions in the United States—whether by medication, aspiration, D&E, or induction—are safe and effective.“
As for the long term effects, the committee declares that:
“Having an abortion also does not increase a woman’s risk of depression, anxiety and/or post traumatic stress disorder.”
In fact, the major concern of the health effects of abortion are whether the woman is being sedated properly and whether she has access to the right kind of pain medication.
The study was sponsored by:
- The Grove Foundation which is associated with the founders of Hewlett-Packard.
- William and Flora Hewlett Foundation which is associated with the founders of Hewlett-Packard.
- The JPB Foundation which was founded by Jeffry M. Picower, the man who was the biggest beneficiary in Bernie Madoff’s ponzi scheme.
- The David and Lucile Packard Foundation which is associated with the founders of Hewlett-Packard.
- The Tara Health Foundation which was founded by Dr. Ruth Shaber who currently advises Planned Parenthood.
- The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, which was was founded by Warren Buffett’s first wife.
Great bunch of people.
Denounced by Conservatives, Religious Groups
As you can guess, religious groups are furious that the study calls abortion “safe and effective” without once mentioning that a child has to die during the process.
Speaking with the Catholic News Agency, Dr. Donna Harrison of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists said that the report is “politically motivated” and that not only do they ignore the child, but they breeze over the medical risks to the mother. She correctly points out:
“…abortion is never safe for the unborn child. Abortion can harm women immediately with the risks of bleeding and damage to their womb and other pelvic organs…[and women are harmed] psychologically, increasing their risk of suicide, drug abuse, and hospitalization from depression.”
Students for Life also published a statement on the report. President Kristan Hawkins said that the data is based on voluntary reports given to groups involved in the abortion industry.
Ninety-Three Percent of Group are Atheists
Years ago, British comedian Ricky Gervais tweeted that 93% of the group who authored the current report are atheists. Color me surprised.
If all the Atheists & Agnostics left America, they'd lose 93% of The National Academy of Sciences & less than 1% of the prison population.

Same Group Pushed Climate Change
Starting in 2001, the National Academies has produced papers pushing the bad predictions concerning climate change as endorsed by Al Gore and the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Unsurprisingly, the group blamed environmental issues on “human-induced warming.” These people sure hate humans!
God help us all.
