I do believe Joe Biden may be in trouble with the #MeToo movement and the left in general. With a ton of Dems vying for the 2020 nomination, the long knives are coming out for Biden who is ostensibly leading the pack. Biden, unfortunately, is now being accused of sexual harassment and “inappropriate touching” by a former colleague and Dems want some answers.
It’s been a running joke for years that Uncle Joe is very handsy and especially has a thing for young girls and sniffing hair. Lucy Flores, who is a former Democratic nominee for Nevada governor, published an essay in New York Magazine last week accusing Biden of being inappropriately affectionate at a campaign rally in 2014, while he was serving as the nation’s vice president. He allegedly kissed her on the back of the head which made her feel “uneasy, gross, and confused.” I bet.
“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified,” Flores wrote. “He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused.” What took her so long to speak up? The timing is circumspect here.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren was the first leftist to take a swipe at Biden. She told a crowd yesterday, “I read the op-ed last night,” and “I believe Lucy Flores. And Joe Biden needs to give an answer.” Weak, but effective on the left. Julian Castro also got his two cents in telling an Iowa audience, “We need to live in a nation where people can hear her truth,” and that Flores needs to be believed. Again, hardly a strong stance but one the left may latch onto.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) told ABC’s “This Week” that she has no reason not to believe the allegations made by Lucy Flores that Biden kissed the former Nevada state assemblywoman on the back of her head during a 2014 campaign rally supporting her bid for lieutenant governor.
“I have no reason not to believe her,” Klobuchar said. “I think we know from campaigns and politics that people raise issues and they have to address them, and that’s what he will have to do with the voters if he gets into the race.”
Warren backing the victim in the Joe Biden sexual assault story is huge.

From The Daily Wire:
“Biden, who, at the height of the #MeToo movement that exposed serial sexual harassers within the ranks of mainstream media and the Hollywood entertainment complex, was quick to note that women who make allegations of sexual impropriety should be believed, said through his spokesman last week that he “does not recall” any incidents with Flores.
“Vice President Biden was pleased to support Lucy Flores’s candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Nevada in 2014 and to speak on her behalf at a well-attended public event. Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes. …
“But Vice President Biden believes that Ms. Flores has every right to share her own recollection and reflections, and that it is a change for better in our society that she has the opportunity to do so. He respects Ms. Flores as a strong and independent voice in our politics and wishes her only the best.
“Biden’s spokesman added Saturday that Biden is well known for his “character” and his “values,” according to CNN.
“But Democratic activists and some left-leaning media were quick to point out late last week that, while Flores is the first to commit publicly to claims of harassment against Biden, she’s hardly the first woman to have been touched inappropriately — even publicly — by the former vice president. Vox Media pointed out that Biden has been “caught on camera” several times, snuggling, hugging, and kissing women, often with the women looking very uncomfortable.
“Vox claims Biden has “gotten a pass” on his behavior from the media — at least until he challenged more “woke” candidates for the nation’s highest office.
“Now that Biden is considered a real contender to take on President Donald Trump in 2020, operatives seem determined to dig up dirt on his former life as vice president and as a legislator. The harassment allegations seem to have bubbled to the surface at just the right time to torpedo a burgeoning presidential campaign that could easily skate to victory over other, preferred, identity politics-focused candidates.”
Everyone realizes Joe Biden publicly sniffed Eva Longoria's hair at the same fundraiser, right? pic.twitter.com/T2BrT4dCbr

Nevada politics are brutal, especially on the left. This was a coordinated hit job against Biden at just the right time. I’m no fan of his but it doesn’t take a political genius to see this is meant to take him out of the race. By the way, did I mention Lucy Flores is a big Bernie Sanders supporter? Just food for thought here.
Flores bragged in 2016 of being picked to be on the board of Our Revolution, a 501(c)(4) that bills itself as “The next step for Bernie Sanders’ movement.” It certainly wouldn’t hurt Sanders if more of these Biden stories circulated.
His hand placement on Longoria was completely inappropriate, too. That’s no accident. I’d have kicked him in the nuts if he put his hands on me there. pic.twitter.com/qnsvIbs2Pz

“The vice president of the United States of America had just touched me in an intimate way reserved for close friends, family, or romantic partners — and I felt powerless to do anything about it,” Flores wrote.
“If he is saying he never believed that was inappropriate, then frankly I believe that’s a little bit of a disconnection. And … a sense of not being aware,” Flores said. “I want him to change his behavior and I want him to acknowledge that it was wrong.”

The Biden campaign responded with, as Twitchy put it, “Biden assuming the most woke #MeToo position possible without confessing: he didn’t recall it happening, but “believes that Ms. Flores has every right to share her own recollection and reflections.” (Woke Joe Biden is going to be a riot on the campaign trail.)” True dat.
“In my many years on the campaign trail and in public life, I have offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort,” Biden said in his own statement Sunday. “And not once — never — did I believe I acted inappropriately. If it is suggested I did so, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention.”
Biden added: “I may not recall these moments the same way, and I may be surprised at what I hear. But we have arrived at an important time when women feel they can and should relate their experiences, and men should pay attention. And I will.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m ordering extra popcorn. The 2020 election is going to be a circus act on the left and Trump is going to pound them into the ground. Good times.
