Virginia’s already scandal ridden executive branch became even more tumultuous Wednesday as the state’s attorney general, Mark Herring, admitted he wore blackface at a college party in 1980.

Herring is 3rd in line of succession to become the governor. Massive calls are being made for Governor Ralph Northam and Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax to resign.

Herring said in a statement that he had donned brown face paint at the party to impersonate a rapper, four days after Mr. Northam admitted having worn blackface.

Meanwhile Fairfax has been accused of forced sexual assault. The woman has accused him of a “sexual encounter that began with consensual kissing and ended with a forced oral act that left her crying and shaken.”

Herring has already voluntarily stepped aside as co-chair of the Democratic Attorney Generals Association.

If Northam, Fairfax and Herring all resign, the state’s speaker of the House of Delegates, Kirk Cox, would become governor. Cox is a Republican.

It all started after Governor Northern gaffed on a radio show, basically ‘endorsing’ infanticide.

He stated last Wednesday that a controversial 40-week abortion bill says the law allows an abortion to take place after the infant’s birth.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. That infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said, alluding to the physician and mother discussing whether the born infant should live or die.

Then his medical school yearbook appeared, with a couple costumed in Blackface and a KKK outfit. It was on his personal page, originally the picture supplied by Northam himself.

Northam, who originally said he was in the photo, later said at a press conference that he didn’t think he was either of the people in the image. He did acknowledge that in 1984 he darkened his face for a Michael Jackson costume.

Then the sexual assault scandal:

Reports had already emerged that Justin Fairfax had been accused by Vanessa Tyson, an associate professor at Scripps College and fellow at Stanford University, of sexual assault at a hotel at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston.

He denied vehemently and she then retained legal counsel, and considered “next steps.”

A California woman accusing Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of sexual assault has hired Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team – Katz, Marshall and Banks – and is consulting with them about next steps, according to a source close to the legal team.

NBC News recently learned that Fairfax used profane language in a private meeting Monday night, while referring to his accuser, Dr. Vanessa Tyson.

Two sources tell NBC Fairfax said of Tyson: “Fuck that bitch.”

Fairfax has speculated wildly that Governor Northam might have been the source of the leak.

So far, both men have refused to resign.

And now number three?

Herring is among those who had already called on Northam to resign after the discovery of the blackface photo.

Virginia’s Democratic Party declined to comment on the latest developments. When asked for comment, a spokesman told Fox News: “We’re not taking any calls right now.

Similar recent allegations have ended careers of elected officials in both parties. Florida’s recently elected Republican secretary of state resigned last month after a newspaper published a photo of him wearing blackface at a 2005 costume party.

Democratic U.S. senator Al Franken resigned in 2017 after being accused of sexual misconduct.
