Pawn Star’s Rick Harrison Destroys Obama’s Legacy: ‘Literally a Nightmare’
The star of the hit television show, Pawn Stars, Rick Harrison, has never been overly political but he has made it clear how the Obama administration made it a ‘nightmare’ to be a businessman.
He is just an average hard working man who happens to have become a TV star that decided he could not keep quiet about his feelings on former President Barack Obama.
He opened up recently to explain how Obama had made it extremely difficult for him to simply do his job and make money.
Harrison is correct, Obama made a nightmare for business, one that is well proven by today’s economic markers.
The Obama years were rife with ever changing regulations, an uncertain tax code, huge healthcare costs, and a number of other items that were a drag on the neck of the businessman. Things are very different now, and Harrison is ecstatic!
Harrison explained of his business:
“We had .7 GDP [growth]…in the last quarter, and if you figure GDP the way we did four years ago, that would be negative growth. Four years ago…they decided all research and development [suddenly] goes into the plus column instead of the expense column and…it was a way the administration actually boosted up GDP.”
In shorter terms, Obama’s people “cooked the books.” They purposely lied in order to make the American economy look better than it really was. The impact is hitting Americans hard now that he is out of office. Harrison is one of many who want President Trump to put the oust on Obamacare once and for all. He is supportive of President Trump and his goals to cut regulations and keep driving on to lower taxes for the masses.
Harrison is a man who truly understands just how dangerous Barack Obama was for America. The negative effects of his presidency are still weighing heavily on Americans today. Harrison is an example of a hard working American who simply wants to be able to make a fair living, but our government has made it extremely hard. There are so many Americans who feel the same way as Harrison, but if you listen to the mainstream media you wouldn’t ever know it.
Complying with federal, state and local regulations affects companies of all sizes, but can be especially tough for small businesses. They have less revenue to absorb labor, paperwork and other costs related to regulations. Obama did the same thing to small business that he did for healthcare. He made a paperwork nightmare.
For eight years, President Obama presided over the worst economic recovery in modern times. For six years, he blamed Republicans in Congress. He said they stopped his spending agenda and hampering growth. In his last two years in office, he claimed that 2% growth was the best we could hope for. In his last year in office, Obama claimed that Trump’s tax cuts and deregulation would only make things worse. At the time, Obama’s economy was again stalling out.
But none of that has come to fruition. Obama said it would take a magic wand to re-establish manufacturing. That wand was a different ideological direction, and it worked.
Small business optimism had been on the decline for almost a decade. The moment Trump took office, that reversed. That optimism drives investment. Without it, business is stagnate.
