Former Vice President Joe Biden is taking his campaign tour to Europe where he told Marxists that Trump’s America is an embarrassment. You will be shocked to know that Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry were in the front row when he said it in Munich, Germany (a very appropriate venue). Biden was speaking at the Munich Security Conference. He groveled and apologized for America… now, that’s embarrassing.
It is very obvious that Biden is trying to curry favor with leftist Europeans who hold America and her citizens in contempt. He said: “The America I see values basic human decency, not snatching children from their parents or turning our back on refugees at our border. Americans know that’s not right. The American people understand plainly that this makes us an embarrassment. The American people know, overwhelmingly, that it is not right. That it is not who we are.” He’s trying to sound like Barack Obama here.
Biden continued: “While I cannot speak today as an elected government official who is able to set policy, I can speak as a citizen. I can offer insight into my country. I know we’ve heard a lot today about leadership, but in my experience, leadership only exists if somebody — and others — are with you. Leadership in the absence of people who are with you is not leadership.”
Sure sounds like he’s running in 2020. Biden is obviously attacking the Trump administration publically here. He had the nerve to hypocritically state: “You’re never allowed to disagree with your brothers and sisters in public. Today, because of, I think, a lack of leadership coming from the other side of the Atlantic, we find ourselves in a different place, and it’s uncomfortable.”
Biden made it plain that President Trump does not respect countries traditionally allied with America which is simply untrue: “I have spent the better part of the last two years traveling throughout the United States of America, from Minnesota to Texas; from Boston to Birmingham. I can assure you, that the American people, the ultimate wellspring of power in the United States of America, remain committed to engaging the world with decency and respect. Those same people who I met all across the United States, who may feel disconnected, discounted, ignored, or left behind … They still believe, as I do, that the core values enshrined in our alliances are worth defending.”
“The America I see cherishes a free press, democracy, the rule of law,” he added. “It stands up to the aggression of dictators and against strongmen.”
From The Daily Wire in comparing Biden to Obama:
“Funny, wasn’t it Barack Obama who moved the bust of Great Britain’s Winston Churchill, arguably the most important leader of the 20th century, out of the Oval Office? Wasn’t it Obama who canceled a missile defense system in Poland, triggering the Polish president to slam him for doing so?
“And wasn’t it Barack Obama who went on an extended apology tour for America, saying in France 2009, “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.” Obama added one month later, in Washington D.C., “Instead of strategically applying our power and our principles, too often we set those principles aside as luxuries that we could no longer afford. And during this season of fear, too many of us–Democrats and Republicans, politicians, journalists, and citizens–fell silent. In other words, we went off course. And this is not my assessment alone.”’
Someone might want to text Biden that Americans elect their president, not European socialists.
It should be noted that delegates at the NATO Munich Security Conference loudly applauded Biden’s speech. It has always been a time-honored tradition for those not in office to leave politics at home when traveling. But during the Obama administration and now after, that seems to no longer be the case. This is abhorrent behavior from someone who should know better.
“This too shall pass. We will be back. We will be back,” Biden said.
Biden spoke on German soil 75 years after the U.S. and its allies prepared for D-Day. This is how he honors his country. Biden’s jabs drew applause from European critics of Trump hours after Vice President Mike Pence had spoken at the conference lauding the president’s efforts to press NATO allies to increase defense spending in the face of Russian aggression.
By the looks of it, Biden believes he will be the Democratic nominee in 2020. If so, he is a far weaker candidate than Hillary Clinton ever was and President Trump will serve a second term.
