House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Says that Trump is being blackmailed by Putin and blasts his campaign over Roger Stone indictment and arrest
Although prosecutors for the Robert Mueller investigation into Russian Collusion did not accuse President Trump of any wrongdoing in the indictment of Roger Stone of conspiring with WikiLeaks, or with Russian intelligence officers, or that any Trump aides knew in advance of the hacking of Hillary’s emails – it didn’t stop Nancy Pelosi from adding two-plus-two and equaling seven:
Early on Friday, Stone was arrested on a seven-count indictment for allegedly hindering special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian election interference. The 66-year-old campaign advisor, living with his cats, dog and deaf wife was rousted out of bed by dozens of FBI agents armed with stun grenades, military-grade weapons and a CNN crew – exclusive to the event. This, even though Mr. Stone is a long-time cooperating witness, does not own a gun and has a long history of coming down to the FBI on his own with a simple phone call.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi however, has now suggested that President Trump is being blackmailed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in light of the indictment of Trump ally Roger Stone. She was not asked how that could be, but the media has a bad habit of no follow-up questions when something so obviously ridiculous is stated.
Here is Pelosi’s statement: ‘The indictment of Roger Stone makes clear that there was a deliberate, coordinated attempt by top Trump campaign officials to influence the 2016 election and subvert the will of the American people.’
First of all, I suppose it’s necessary to remind Nancy Pelosi – who has been in government for nearly her entire adult life – that people are innocent until proven guilty. That doesn’t seem to matter much lately, but I digress… Secondly, she must know more than Robert Mueller’s team of mostly Democrat prosecutors, because they say just the opposite.
She continued with more words which could be in the dictionary after the word, ‘irony’: ‘It is staggering that the President has chosen to surround himself with people who violated the integrity of our democracy and lied to the FBI and Congress about it’ and Trump’s vocal opposition of the Muller probe ‘raise the questions: what does Putin have on the President, politically, personally or financially?’
Speaker Pelosi has just suggested in no uncertain terms that The President is a traitor. With no proof of that claim, she is unfit to hold office. Speaking of liars:
CNN, which claimed its producer was present based on a hunch (wtf?), aired video of the raid at Stone’s home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, showing agents in body armor using large weapons and night-vision equipment, running up to the home and banging on the door. Yes, Roger Stone might have come out like Al Pacino in Scarface, guns ‘a blarin’ – you never know… What crock.
‘FBI open the door!’ one shouts. ‘FBI, warrant!’ Stone could then be seen in the doorway in his sleepwear before he was led away. Stone also had to explain to the FBI to not let the dogs in because his wife is deaf and wouldn’t know why they were there. No matter – why would they care? They were there for the CNN cameras, weren’t they?
We live in an age where old men, of zero flight-risk are perp-walked by a military SWAT team and a sympathetic news organization is there to help the opposition party – then – the Party leader is ready with her sound bite on how it proves the President is a traitor. This is moving very close to something we do not want in this country no matter who is in power and serves as a reminder why the American people might have wanted someone outside the establishment, with his own money, to get in there and at least try to clean it up.
If you’re wondering that maybe Stone is a threat – the Judge in the case would disagree: Stone was released on a $250,000 surety bond hours later and swiftly blasted the prosecution as politically motivated.
In a circus-like atmosphere outside the courthouse, as supporters cheered him on and jeering spectators shouted ‘Lock Him Up,’ Stone proclaimed his innocence and predicted his vindication.
‘As I have said previously, there is no circumstance whatsoever under which I will bear false witness against the president, nor will I make up lies to ease the pressure on myself,’ Stone said. Trump attorney Jay Sekulow said the indictment ‘does not allege Russian collusion by Roger Stone or anyone else.’
