On Tuesday, CBS News deleted the fact check of one of President Trump’s claims during his Border Security address to the nation.

The fact check proved the president was right.

“Women and children are the biggest victims by far of our broken system,” Trump said about the explosion of illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border. “One in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous trek up through Mexico.”

CBS was running a live “fact check” of Trump’s speech, and posted this:

Fact check: 1 in 3 women sexually assaulted while traveling to cross the border

CLAIM: The president claimed one in three women have been sexually assaulted traveling to the border.

FACT: Between 60 percent and 80 percent of female migrants traveling through Mexico are raped along the way, Amnesty International estimates.

Trump said 33%, which is a well known and disputed claim. The real number CBS found is at least twice that.

CBS News deleted this fact check from their own article “fact checking” Trump’s speech on Tuesday night. You can see an archived copy which includes the fact check here.

A reprint of CBS News’s original article is still up on CBS affiliate WinkNews.

It appears CBS News doesn’t want their readers to know how many women are said to be raped by coyotes and smugglers while attempting to cross illegally into our country.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s response to President Donald Trump’s immigration speech, was basically designed to present this border crisis as a non-threat. This just throws gas on the fire.

Pelosi stated:

“Sadly, much of what we have heard from President Trump throughout this senseless shutdown has been full of misinformation and even malice. The president has chosen fear. We want to start with the facts.

The fact is: the women and children at the border are not a security threat, they are a humanitarian challenge — a challenge that President Trump’s own cruel and counterproductive policies have only deepened.

And the fact is: President Trump must stop holding the American people hostage, must stop manufacturing a crisis and must reopen the government.”

Schumer stated:

“There is no excuse for hurting millions of Americans over a policy difference.

Most presidents have used Oval Office addresses for noble purposes.

This president just used the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.”

Pelosi and Chuck didn’t mention the Americans who lose jobs to border-jumping illegals. They didn’t mention the Americans who lose their lives to the sanctuary policies their state and local party cohort endorses. They didn’t mention the drugs.

The leaders complained that Trump wouldn’t sign leftist legislation to keep the borders open and fund pet projects.

Lied Pelosi, “The fact is: President Trump has chosen to hold hostage critical services for the health, safety and well-being of the American people and withhold the paychecks of 800,000 innocent workers across the nation — many of them veterans. He promised to keep government shutdown for ‘months or years’ — no matter whom it hurts. That’s just plain wrong.”

CBS fail. Pelosi-Schumer fail. Trump home run!
