You won’t believe what Clock-boy is Doing Now

Ahmed is living the benefits of the free-market system we have in in this great country.

Ahmed Mohamed, AKA, Clock-boy, is a sixteen-year-old boy who was arrested September, 2015 in Irving, Texas, for bringing an ‘alleged’ hoax explosive to school.

He is living the Life of Reilly.

Now, do not get me wrong, I am fully in support of this.

Ahmed is living the benefits of the free-market system we have in in this great country. Whether we agree with, or like your positions, and or history, the fact that anyone can generate income using who you are is the American Dream.

The real issue is that the side of politics he and his family stand on, denounces what made the atmosphere in this country to be able to do what he is doing. Both liberalism and his father’s view on religion tend to want to destroy what makes his good life possible.

He is enjoying a standard of living created by the conservative ideology about society and economics, religion.

Vacationing in NY:

Ahmed Mohamed is an African American Muslim and a citizen of the United States. He has a mother, a father, four sisters and a brother. His father is Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, an immigrant from Sudan who is also a United States citizen.

His father is a Sufi Muslim who believes that the Qur’an states that Islam is the ideal religion. It will be revived when humanity reached the stage of development capable of accepting this concept.

I believe the exact same thing about Christianity.

Riding in a million dollar Ferrari.

On Monday, September 14, 2015, brought to school an homemade alarm clock out of a pencil box.

Ahmed took the pencil box out of his backpack and showed the clock to his Geometry and Architecture teacher. He told Ahmed that the clock was “really nice,” but advised him to keep it in his backpack.

During 4th period English, the clock beeped as Ahmed showed it off to another student. That teacher heard the noise but didn’t know where it came from.

After class was over, as Ahmed was leaving to go to lunch, he reminded another teacher that he had told her he was going to build something that weekend and bring to show it to her. He asked her if she wanted to see the clock and she said that she did. Ahmed plugged the clock in and showed her how it worked.

Ms. West asked Ahmed “is that a bomb?”

Schools are on edge right now. I do not like schools calling the authorities for every little reason and there are a lot of overreactions out there. This teacher felt concerned. None of us know what that moment was really like.

Riding a Camel:

Several hours later, during Ahmed’s college prep class, called AVID, Principal Daniel Cummings and Irving police Officer Robin Howman walked in to Ahmed’s class and escorted him out. They took Ahmed to another room in the school.

The school should have done an investigation before calling the authorities.  Ahmed really should have known that his project might be on the edge.

He went viral. He moved to Egypt, he moved back.

Now his Twitter feed shows he is living a blessed life, doing many things some only dream of.

Do I think he and his family were nefarious in doing this project to raise a red flag at the school? I don’t know.

Do I agree with the premises of his family’s ideology? Certainly not! Do I think they have the right to think independently? I would fight for that right.

Do we as a nation need to be extra cautious by a world danger? Of course!

But I won’t fault a 16 year-old boy who went through a hurdle to not enjoy the best life has to offer.

What do you think?
