Green Berets’ Oval Office Visit Goes Viral After Trump Says ‘We’re not supposed to do this, but…’

As the media loudly complained how The President was “too scared” to visit troops during the holidays, Donald J. Trump was covertly jetting to a war zone in Iraq for a Christmas Day surprise appearance to show his faith and appreciation.

Never before have we seen excitement and praise from our American servicemen and women at the Al-Asad Airbase in Iraq. Troops clamoring for selfies and autographed red MAGA hats made it clear how much they like a pro-military person in the White House.

But the media – even as their lies about Trump not going to the Middle East went out – did their best to report what a horrible thing our President did and that signing autographs was not just out of order – but probably a crime! You can bet if those were ‘hope and change’ hats there wouldn’t be a problem with CNN and the rest of the fake news media.

Even First Lady Melania made the trip to the dangerous war zone – something a First Lady had not done in a decade (and Michelle Obama wants to run for President?) – and received a welcome from the troops which was overwhelming.

Melania also became the only first lady to have visited Iraq since the war began more than 15 years ago. Eat your heart out Meech!

Despite the round-the-clock negative press, video and pictures from the trip have gone viral and made it clear to the world what our fighting men and women think of President Trump and all he’s done for the military.

It reminds me a lot of another secret mission – this time on February 26th – when 18 Army officers in the Special Forces Qualification Course were visiting the National Security Council. Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka asked if they wanted to meet President Trump and they sure did!

Trump loves the military and has shown he has a new level of respect that our military personnel have not seen in many, many years. The President shared some of that respect with the Green Beret candidates… but then:

Midway through the visit with the President, he jumped up and said; “Hey — we’re not supposed to do this but follow me!” He brought them all into the Oval Office, took a group photograph around the Resolute desk, and then had another thought:

Trump: “OK, that’s not good enough – everybody stand in the corner.!”  So they did and one-by-one, staff took photographs each of the future Green Beret next to the president at the Oval Office desk, according to Gorka’s account.

No big deal, right? Wrong. This was the first time in the Green Beret course’s history that candidates were inside the Oval Office.  What makes this story even more amazing was the fact that Trump kept this Feb. 7 meeting private. Even after the event, the anti-Trump media  didn’t report on it, even though it was announced a day before it occurred.

Trump could have used the opportunity as a publicity stunt, but instead he chose to (attempt) to keep it a private affair. That’s a real leader.

Before the Trump visit to Iraq, the most recent visit to a war zone by a first lady was that of Laura Bush to Afghanistan in June 2008. The same day she was there, 11 police officers were killed in an ambush south of Kabul and three British soldiers were killed by a suicide bomber in Helmand province. Bush also went to Afghanistan in March 2005. And if you’re wondering about that other First Lady…

Hillary Clinton stayed away from war zones when she was first lady during her husband Bill’s eight-year stint at the White House. She did not visit troops during combat operations in Bosnia between 1992 and 1995 but made a trip there in March 1996 after hostilities had ceased, along with her daughter Chelsea, then 16. Clinton faced ridicule in 2008 when she claimed she landed in Bosnia “under sniper fire,” even though news footage from the time showed her strolling on the tarmac and being read a poem by a small girl.

With President Trump in the White House, America has seen that not only will our military be rebuilt, but there will be more respect for our military and the morale of our troops will be increased. Thank you, Mr. President for treating some of America’s finest…like the finest! God Bless Our Military!
