Morgan Freeman Could End Up In Shawshank For Harassment and Inappropriate Behavior
The silky voiced actor seems to be a skirt-grabbing, handsy creep.
Eight women have spoken to liberal media alleging that actor Morgan Freeman had imposed months of unwanted contact and comments on the young women while working on movie sets.
The bad behavior was not limited to a single movie set,
CNN interviews 16 people, eight of whom said they were targeted in the harassment and the other eight said they witnessed the ongoing bad behavior at both Revelations Entertainment and on movie sets.
Founded by Morgan Freeman and producer Lori McCreary in 1996, the independent film company was meant to bring more choice for black actors. Former employees of Revelations are speaking up as well, not just the women who worked on movie sets.
Six former staff of Revelations alleged that Freeman showed “questionable behavior around women” which included “sexual comments” and some instances of unwanted touching.
One women in particular said that when she first met Freeman, he sized her up and asked:
“How do you feel about sexual harassment?”
In perhaps a bad move, she responded that she loved it.
Another woman, a former manager reported similar behavior, saying that Freeman would “stare” at her breasts while she worked at her desk.
“One time he stopped, looked me up and down as I walked into a room of people, and everyone burst out laughing. And I literally froze feeling very uncomfortable and one of the people in the office said, ‘Don’t worry, that’s just Morgan.'”
Actions Going Back Years
During the 2012 production of the 2013 heist thriller Now You See Me starring Freeman and including Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Jesse Eisenberg, a female senior member of production alleged that Freeman had harassed both her and her female assistant.
The production staffer said that she and her assistant were sexually harassed on “numerous occasions” and usually to do with commentary on their bodies, prompting the two women to stop wearing fitted clothing.
During the 2015 production of the 2017 heist comedy film starring Freeman along with Alan Arkin and Michael Caine, one female production assistant, or PA said that she was still in her early 20s while Freeman, then 78, would harass her.
And due to the bad experience, the PA said that she left the movie business:
“It was the constant comments about the way I looked.”
One, while wearing a t-shirt over a dress to cover the garment’s exposed back, she claimed that “Morgan said to me that I should be wearing the shirt over my dress.”
So, with these comments — many made within earshot of higher-ups in production — she would often be in tears after work. It was on this movie set that Freeman allegedly attempted to lift the skirt of the female PA to ask if she was wearing underwear, and he would also either place his hand on her lower back or rub it.
Fellow cast mate Alan Arkin reportedly told Freeman to stop.

After the allegations were announced, Visa pulled advertisements read by Freeman that had been playing on public transit in the city of Vancouver in Canada.
E’Dena Hines was 33 when she was found murdered. Lamar was 30 when authorities arrived to arrest Lamar shouting “Get out, devils, I cause you out, devils, in the name of Jesus Christ!” while standing over E’Dena’s body after stabbing her around 3 a.m. in August 2015.
In a statement, Morgan Freeman said:
“The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer…Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”
The young Hines had studied acting at college and moved back to New York City after being case in an independent movie.
