Stormy Daniels Offers to Return Hush Money…but there’s ONE catch!

So liberals seem have their little panties in a wad over some alleged affair of Stormy Daniels with Donald Trump. Gee, where were these same people when Bill Clinton was in office screwing around IN THE WHITE HOUSE?!

How many Americans care about an ALLEGED affair that happened prior to Trump’s election? Don’t you think MOST Americans care more about the economy and job growth than some stupid alleged affair that liberals are trying to pump up? My guess is that the Trump-Russian collusion story must be going nowhere!

Stormy Daniels Offers to Return Hush Money…

Stephanie Clifford, a pornographic actress known professionally as “Stormy Daniels,” offered Monday to return the $130,000 payment she received in Oct. 2016 for her continued silence about an alleged affair with President Donald Trump.

A remittance, her lawyers propose, would invalidate the “hush agreement” she reached with Trump attorney Michael Cohen, permitting her to speak publicly about her relationship with the president.

The New York Times obtained a copy of a letter Clifford’s lawyer, Michael Avenatti, sent to Cohen, which offers to wire the full $130,000 sum to an account of the president’s choosing on the understanding that the 2016 agreement is nullified.

The contract, known as a nondisclosure agreement (NDA), was executed on Oct. 28, 2016. Under its terms, Clifford agreed not to disclose her alleged affair with the president in exchange for a $130,000 payment from a shell company in Delaware. Cohen officially represents the shell company, known as Essential Consultants LLC, and not the president in this dispute.

The affair allegedly ran from the summer of 2006 to early 2007.

Avenatti’s letter gave Cohen until noon Tuesday to make a decision and promised to transmit payment by Friday.

Once the NDA is voided, Clifford would be at liberty to “(a) speak openly and freely about her prior relationship with the president and the attempts to silence her and (b) use and publish any text messages, photos and/or videos relating to the president that she may have in her possession, all without fear of retribution and legal liability for damages,” according to TheNYT’s copy of the Avenatti proposal.

It also demands that the president’s lawyers take no action to prevent publication of Clifford’s interview with the CBS news magazine “60 Minutes,” which is slated for broadcast Sunday. Sources familiar with the Trump legal team’s thinking say they plan to seek an injunction barring its release.

According to reports, Clifford is suing Cohen and Essential Consultants in a California state court, arguing the NDA is invalid because Trump himself never signed it.

Most Republicans on Capitol Hill sought to avoid the topic altogether, while those who were willing to talk about it were careful not to criticize Trump for allegations that would have sent previous White Houses into a tailspin.

At an afternoon briefing last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders sought to deflect repeated questions about Daniels. “Look, the president has addressed these directly and made very well clear that none of these allegations are true,” Sanders said.

When asked if Trump knew that lawyer Michael Cohen had paid Daniels $130,000 shortly before the 2016 election, Sanders responded, “Not that I’m aware of.” Daniels says the payment was aimed at buying her silence about a decade-old dalliance.

Sanders also claimed Wednesday that an arbitration process had already been “won in the president’s favor.”

That was an apparent reference to Cohen seeking arbitration on Feb. 27 to resolve the dispute with Daniels over the nondisclosure deal. The appointed arbitrator issued a temporary restraining order to keep Daniels from talking about the deal, according to people familiar with the matter.

Everyday, it’s something else! Somehow a porn star clamoring for public attention is not a very sympathetic figure.

Regardless, it’s a subject most in Trump’s party are not eager to discuss in the run-up to this year’s midterm elections, when turnout by pro-Trump voters could be critical in some races.

Heading into a Senate GOP luncheon on Wednesday, a reporter asked Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) if she could seek his reaction to Daniels suing the president.

“You may certainly may ask it,” Alexander said. When asked, though, he just chuckled, and then headed to lunch.

When Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) was asked if he had any reaction to the lawsuit, he said: “No, uh-uh, I don’t.” He even then smiled and offered to discuss trade instead.

Again, what do you think? Are most Americans concerned about jobs, the economy and trade or some alleged affair that Trump had BEFORE the election?
