Senator Kamala Harris Terrifies the Country: ‘California Represents The Future’
California has been recently ranked #1 for ‘Worst Quality Of Life’ and named the ‘Poverty Capital of America’ and yet the socialist Senator Kamala Harris from California claims that ‘California Represents The Future’.
I don’t think so Kamala!
Across the state, unemployment is in double digits. Home foreclosures have taken a huge toll on scores of neighborhoods. Thousands of public school employees are getting pink slips. State parks and beaches may be closed for lack of money to keep them open. California is about to slash welfare and public health programs. Is that SERIOUSLY the FUTURE?
Californians have been fleeing the state in droves for over a decade. Thousands of businesses have been fleeing California for a better business environment. Harris’ state has been losing tax dollars in the billions.
The place is a catastrophe. And she thinks California represents the future? It may have at one time, but we are in some dire trouble if it is an example of where we are going.
Harris appeared on MSNBC’s All In with host Chris Hayes Wednesday night to discuss Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ speech on California ignoring the nation’s immigration laws and likening it to nullification.
Harris threatened that “California’s going to fight” because the state “represents the future.”
“This Administration and Jeff Sessions in particular have clearly put a target on the back of California and California’s going to fight,” Harris proclaimed. “And, I think that these folks are really mired in rolling back the clock in time and that’s not going to happen. California represents the future. And — and they don’t like it, but there you go.”
So what would the country look like if America looked like California?
We have already mentioned that California has been recently ranked #1 for ‘Worst Quality Of Life’ and named the ‘Poverty Capital of America’.
The coveted Best States ranking is part of an annual study that scores all 50 states on eight categories:
Health care, education, economy, opportunity, infrastructure, crime and corrections, fiscal stability and the most important of all for most of us, quality of life.
Sadly, Californians are in the pits by this life-quality metric, with the Golden State taking last place at No. 50.
The rankings considered two metrics for each state:
Natural environment, comprising drinking-water quality, air quality, and pollution and industrial toxins.
Social environment, comprising community engagement, social support, and voter participation.
Aren’t those the two items liberals in Sacramento have been claiming to make awesome? Under the one-party Democrat rules, spending on fairness tops $100 billion every year.
Meanwhile, the basic infrastructure of the state, so necessary for the economy long and short term, is collapsing. Income inequality in California is the highest in the nation!
If you’re under 40 or a renter, the California dream of owning a home is out of reach.
Even if you have a job, in many places you are a paycheck away from homelessness.
Even if you have a job and a place to live, owning a car and paying for gas and insurance will make you homeless.
Of course, there is the whole issue of the lack of water infrastructure in California. There is not enough of it to store and supply the water needed for its industry and residents.
So, what is an impoverished California to do? It’s not an academic question. When cost of living is factored into the equation, California leads the nation in poverty .
According to Harris and the Democrats, the answer is: fight for future immigrants, refugees, sanctuary cities, social issues and global warming. Social justice for all – in other words – served on high speed rail.
In California, the destruction of society and individual lives has become so overwhelming, the state’s liberal overseers now spend their time covering up where they can and normalizing the chaos as much as possible.
Then of course, the homeless that is growing to catastrophic sizes.
Fox News reported that 25 percent of the nation’s half million homeless live in California, the largest of any state. Los Angeles’ homeless population skyrocketed 46 percent since 2013. That is after liberal icon Eric Garcetti was elected mayor of Los Angeles, and the nation had just re-elected Barack Obama as president,.
California’s economy is roughly the size of Italy’s. But the state is broke, and there are no easy fixes. Just painful cuts ahead.
With the worst credit rating in the country and no financial miracles on the horizon, California is running out of both time and money.
And Kamala Harris says this is the future?
I sure hope not!
