Kamala Harris Backs Oakland, CA Mayor Who Tipped Off Illegal Aliens ‘100 Percent’
Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), who is eyeing a 2020 potential Democratic presidential bid, stated that she “100 percent” supports Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf’s (D) decision to help criminal illegal aliens evade deportation ahead of a raid by federal immigration officials. The ICE raids were targeting over 850 illegal aliens and wound up netting just over 200 because they were warned in advance.
During a fundraiser for the YMCA’s “Y for Youth Luncheon,” Harris strongly defended Schaaf, who made national headlines last month when she warned illegal aliens of a coming raid in Oakland by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. As a result of the advance notice, many criminal illegal aliens with sex crime convictions, drunk driving convictions, gang connections and armed robbery convictions, escaped arrest and deportation. Mayor Schaaf doubled down and defended her actions as defending her community.

Harris defended Schaaf by saying, “I think Mayor Schaaf is doing exactly what she believes is in the best interest of her community, and I support that 100 percent,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The Democratic senator said the Trump administration and Jeff Sessions were attempting to “roll back the clock” by enforcing federal immigration laws. “This administration is using our tax dollars to engage in a political game instead of what’s in the best interest of Californians,” Harris said.
Harris, whose presidential aspirations are well known, has put herself at odds with the majority of Americans by defending Schaaf over defying ICE and warning those who break the rule of law. Calls for Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Department of Justice (DOJ) to prosecute Schaaf for obstruction of justice are now widespread. A plurality of swing voters, about 40 percent, agreed that Schaaf should be prosecuted for warning criminal illegal aliens ahead of an ICE raid.
Breitbart is reporting that the sanctuary state of California is likely responsible for at least 5,000 crimes that were committed by criminal illegal aliens who were released by the state rather than being handed over to ICE agents for deportation.
Kamala Harris is a very leftist politician. She wants to be president of a country with no borders and with a Supreme Court that bases its decisions on “feelings” rather than law. She has stated she wants few, if any, gun rights for citizens and that she supports “free” college. She is a proponent of government-run single payer healthcare and supports severely restricted speech. Harris also supports unrestricted abortion funded by taxpayers. Most of what she supports is the basis for the modern-day Democratic Party.
Real Clear Politics had this to report on Harris’ stance on illegal immigration:
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) appeared on MSNBC’s All In with host Chris Hayes Wednesday night to discuss Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ speech on California ignoring the nation’s immigration laws and likening it to nullification. Harris warned that it’s not a good idea for Sessions to bring up Civil War history and said his credibility is “pretty shot” on those issues.
Hayes prompted the comments from Harris when he brought up Sessions’ reference to “slave states in nullification and secession” in denouncing California for evading federal immigration law. (Editor’s note: Sessions actually said: ‘There is no nullification. There is no secession.’ He then invited “any doubters to Gettysburg, and to the graves of John C. Calhoun and Abraham Lincoln.” There was no abject overtures to slavery and reconstruction.)
“Attorney General Sessions compared California’s actions quite intentionally I think, to be actions of the slave states in nullification and secession and the Civil War. What do you say to that?” Hayes asked.
“Indeed, indeed he did. Listen, as far as I’m concerned Jeff Sessions should be advised and I’ll advise him right now that — that it is — it — it’s a bad idea for him to start talking about anything to do with the history of slavery or reconstruction or the Civil War in the United States. His credibility is pretty much shot on those issues. But on the topic at hand Chris, I think Jerry Brown is absolutely right,” Harris responded.
At issue here is Senator Harris’ lack of knowledge when it comes to the U.S. Constitution, presidential pardons, the Bill of Rights, American history and the federal government’s role in immigration law and enforcement. Schaaf is likely to be federally prosecuted for her actions because she broke federal law. If Harris supports these actions, she is culpable as well.
