From Political Correction to Political Agendas, Has the FBI Lost its Way
The FBI has lost the confidence of the citizens. It’s the same old story: Yes, they were warned about suspects, but failed to prevent the crime. Nikolas Cruz is just the latest example.
Is the internal political turmoil in the Bureau the reason that agents letting terrorist attacks slip through their fingers?
In recent years, from the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, to the attack on Fort Hood by Army Maj. Nidal Hassan, to the Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016, to Nikolas Cruz’ massacre at Parkland, the FBI has had to ‘fess up to the media:
The suspect is known to the FBI, and we had received recent warnings that an attack of this nature would occur. You’d think at the very least the Muslims would raise an eyebrow, but you’d need agents who don’t care about being politically incorrect to prioritize. That is, you need Republicans or Independents.
So why aren’t these claims being investigated? The FBI has been splashed over the news since the election of Donald Trump for their inner workings and collusion with the Democrats. There’s already a conversation online and at dinner tables about What Must Be Done, but every Trump supporter knows that the FBI will never be effective at protecting citizens from extraordinary, yet predictable events unless they get back to their jobs.
FBI Already Knew About Nikolas Cruz
Here’s part of the FBI’s statement made in the wake of the shooting in Florida:
“On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting. Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life…[but] no further investigation was conducted at that time.”
They knew. But they don’t provide any good answer. They claim that the tip line information “should have been forwarded” to the local FBI office in Miami, but that the information stayed at the tip line. Oops. Sorry. We “truly regret any additional pain this has caused.”
Tactfully, Joe The Plumber wrote me in an email this morning of the FBI:
“Leadership seems to be an issue.”
Political Scandals Taking Over
FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s text messages to his mistress have been lost and found again, and his busywork in the office is a lynchpin to the investigation into both the bogus (and very much disproved!) Russia/Trump conspiracy theory and the (very much still active!) deep dive into Hillary Clinton’s deleted email server. Strzok, whose texts indicate that Trump would be removed from power, was also the one who gave the first interview with Hillary’s right-hand Huma Abedin to discuss the email server. If the emails hadn’t been found by a different agent on pervert Anthony Weiner’s laptop, we’d still be in the dark about their contents showing Hillary’s wheeling and dealing while Secretary of State.
Strzok was also responsible for editing the James Comey memo that first said Hillary was perhaps a bit responsible for the email server into a note that painted her as a gentle little innocent lamb.
The FBI needs to earn its credibility back.
For that, they have two choices: Purge the Democrats, or start raining arrests down on the populace.
The third way would be to still purge the Democrats, and they’d naturally have enough manpower and free time back to properly investigate threats.
Arrest A Student Before They Ever Break The Law?
Unfortunately there are many kids out there who are troubled, bullied or loners. Kids who talk about guns, or dress funny, or act anti-social. Having these hallmarks of a school shooter doesn’t mean a kid will be one. After the shooting, a friend who works with young adults in a mental health facility said that she’s spoken to police, parents, teachers and nobody has a solution for what to do with the troubled kids. If you started to arrest suspicious teens, she could give a thousand names of past cases who threatened their classmates.
Mental health screening for guns: We are super-flattered that you think we (psychologists) can predict who is at risk of becoming a mass murderer, but we cannot. For many statistical reasons, including low base rates of murder & high base rates of suicidality, we cannot help here

Any realistic conversation about what might be causing these young adults to go haywire would involve a discussion on the breakdown of family life and culture. Conservatives will talk about that, but the left wants to blame the gun.
Ban The Guns? But Gun Sense Is Needed Most
In a gruesome twist, Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people during the Virginia Tech shooting using handguns. Cruz used an AR-15. Both are very different weapons. One of the dangers is that fellow students have zero gun sense. Freezing out of fear and standing still and waiting for a person with a handgun or an AR-15 to line up a shot would never happen if the intended victims knew first-hand how much safer it is to be a moving target.
The left always need to blame others. Blame the gun, blame the students, blame the school lunch, blame the pebble in his shoe.
One student at the high school reacted on Twitter to media reports seeking to blame the treatment of Cruz by other students for the reason for his massacre.
yea okay i was bullied too but he shot me so like whats ur point https://t.co/ZhOfiwaDdS

Seventeen people are dead and yet we still look to the FBI to put a stop to these crimes.
