NRA Warns Conservatives of ‘Socialist State’

Speaking to a room packed full of conservatives, the CEO of the NRA warned that socialists are very, very busy trying to remove gun rights in America.

Wayne LaPierre gave a speech to the crowd gathered at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) detailing the dangers of socialism and how “European socialists” have infiltrated the left wing groups that show up in the media every day.

Ever since the shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, pressure has been placed on the NRA and on Congress to “do something” about these shootings. But, LaPierre spoke about the sinister underpinning of these pushes to make gun ownership difficult.

“Socialism is a movement that loves a smear. Racists, misogynists, sexists, xenophobe and more. These are the weapons and vitriol these character assassinations permanently hang on their targets because socialism feeds off manipulated victims.”

LaPierre correctly said that the Occupy Wall Street movements, Black Lives Matter and Antifa are all examples of modern left wing groups that are promoting “uncivil discourse” with the aim to “eliminate due process.” In other words, mob rule.

The crowd seemed to agree that getting rid of due process is the “gold standard of the socialist state.”

Blaming The NRA

On February 14th, 2018, Nikolas Cruz entered the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School school in Parkland, Florida and killed 17 people. A few weeks beforehand, someone called up the FBI tip line to describe Cruz and report that he should be investigated for possibly planning a school shooting. The tip was never investigated.

The NRA didn’t kill them.
The FBI didn’t kill them.
The Second Amendment didn’t kill them.
Nikolas Cruz killed them.

The NRA shouldn’t have to answer for these deaths.

Blaming the gun is easy, and talking about what really drove Cruz is difficult.

Nikolas Cruz’ adoptive father died when Cruz was still very young, and his adoptive mother had trouble taking care of him. It’s not video games, it’s an unstable family that hurts children.

During his speech, LaPierre said that any proposal to limit the guns available to Americans is “completely ridiculous” and that in order to prevent future school shooters from achieving their deadly goals, more security is needed.

Arm The Teachers

Last week Gov. Jerry Brown of Florida signed into law a bill that would prevent teachers from firing back.

The bill was in response to the fact that five school districts in California recently allowed teachers and staff to obtain concealed carry permits. So, instead of allowing these school districts from granting peace of mind and a major deterrent to likely shooters, California has overridden the allowance because:

“A safe learning environment is essential for our children to be successful… That’s not possible if a school district allows armed civilians to roam California school campuses.

I guess the only danger teachers are allowed to bring to the classroom are the ones pushing left-wing ideals.

Remington Declares Bankruptcy…

Earlier this month, Remington admitted that they own $950 million to their creditors and would be receiving $145 million to keep things going at their plants in New York and Alabama while they restructure.

The emergency cash will allow them to continue to pay their employees and keep their benefit plan running. Remington had received criticism after the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting that killed 26 people. The shooter’s Remington Bushmaster rifle was featured prominently by the media, and some investors stopped supporting the company.

Because Citizens No Longer Panic Buy Guns Under Trump.

While the Remington Arms Company was founded in 1816 and remains one of the most popular manufacturers in America, the company had apparently relied on citizens panic-buying guns and ammunition. Under Obama, pro-Second Amendment citizens were more careful to purchase large quantities of ammunition and would buy guns that they felt were in line to be banned. But, with the election of Donald Trump, gun lovers were no longer worried that their rights would be infringed and sales slowed.

Media Falsely Reporting That Trump Will Infringe Rights?

Yesterday Donald Trump published a series of tweets that were wildly interpreted by both the left and the right that Trump would call to infringe the rights of gun owners.

I broke the tweets down here and compared them to previous Trump statements to show that Donald is playing the media like a fiddle.
