Laura Ingraham Opens CPAC With ‘Liberals Are Kind Of Like Herpes’ [VIDEO]
Laura Ingraham set CPAC 2018 on fire in her morning speech yesterday with a whopper of a joke about liberals who bear a striking resemblance to a specific venereal disease. “A friend of mine who happens to be a religious figure said, ‘Laura, you’re talking to the CPAC people.
You guys gotta have a good time. You gotta laugh,’” she told the crowd in National Harbor, Maryland. “‘Remember what Tim Allen once said about the Clintons.’ I said, ‘What did Tim Allen say about the Clintons?’ I couldn’t remember the line. He said, ‘Well, you could apply it to liberals in general.’ Liberals are kind of like herpes,” she continued, eliciting both laughs and groans from the attendees. “Just when you think you have it beat, they come back again.” So very true. “There’s no cure. You can only keep it at bay.”

Hot take… way to jab at Democrats, Laura. Tell us how you really feel. Heh. Ingraham, who is known for her popular radio show and her frequent television appearances, went on to push back against President Trump’s critics. She’s a pro at doing so. She went on to compare President Trump to President Reagan in her speech. She read excerpts of journalists describing a President who was being shielded from public appearances, who fumbled during his remarks and had warring factions of aides.
“If you think those journalists were talking about Donald Trump, you are wrong. They were describing President Ronald Reagan,” Ingraham said to audible gasps from the crowd. “He’s mocked, as Reagan was. He’s ridiculed by the Hollywood establishment, as Reagan was … What he is is the president of all the people, the middle class, the forgotten men and women.” Yes, I remember it well and the media kept it up his entire presidency and long afterwards. They’ll do the same to Trump.
Ingraham’s speech was sheer rabble-rousing fun and spot on. “They’re not mad because they’re winning on the Left. They are infuriated because they’re losing,” Ingraham told the crowd. “Maybe 25 years from now, when a lot of you are my age, you’re going to hear about how good things were in 2016 and the next four years. And how maybe some new upstart who is running against the establishment is not as optimistic or positive as Donald Trump was,” she said.
Ingraham says that we are now living in what will fondly be referred to as the ‘good ole days’. “These are the good old days because the way it is today, even with all the rancor and the resistance … These are the ways it was in the ’80s,” she added, referring to former President Ronald Reagan’s administration. I’m not sure I totally agree with that, but I get her point.
The national radio talk show host warned young political activists that while it is easy to succumb to ideas like “we’re going to tear down the Left,” they should focus on the advancing conservative ideas through policy reforms. Ingraham said conservatives ought to rejoice over the Trump administration’s achievements and the GOP’s holding the House, Senate, and White House, even as a “false narrative” that America is “going to hell in a handbasket” continues. “Young conservatives here today and listening across the country, I say to you one piece of advice: Smile. Life is very good,” she declared.
While I don’t fully agree with her comparison to Reagan, Ingraham did have a much-needed sense of humor. “It’s great to be here at CPAC, or as liberals call it, the group that puts fun in the word dysfunctional,” she began. “Come on, you’ve got to be self-deprecating, guys.” That’s actually quite clever. Of course, the left was instantly offended by her remarks, but I think that’s what she was aiming for.

I know you will be shocked, but the Huffington Post actually connected Ingraham to the Parkland, Florida massacre, saying she had just spoken on AR-15s on Fox News before it happened. Reaching are we? Just pathetic. These people are unhinged and have no sense of humor. I actually think Laura is funny and witty. I love to see her tick off the left and she did so expertly at CPAC.
