Is Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau Fidel Castro’s Doppelganger or Illegitimate Son?
The story goes that a suicide note left by Fidel Castro’s eldest son last week revealed that Canadian PM Justin Trudeau was his half-brother and the son of the late Fidel Castro.
The handwritten note left was supposedly left by Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart. Fidelito is the the eldest of Fidel Castro’s children. The note, some claim, confirms the longstanding rumor in Cuba that Fidel Castro fathered Justin Trudeau after a public tryst with Margaret Trudeau in 1970.
The resemblance between Fidel and Justin, especially compared to younger pictures of the Cuban dictator, is actually very astonishing.
Justin Trudeau even went out of his way to eulogize Castro’s death, stirring up controversy, as CNN reported:
In his statement, Trudeau expressed “deep sorrow” after learning of “the death of Cuba’s longest serving president.”
“Fidel Castro was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century. A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Castro made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation.”
“While a controversial figure, both Mr. Castro’s supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the Cuban people who had a deep and lasting affection for ‘el Comandante’.”
Cuba’s relationship with Canada is friendlier than the one it shares with the United States. As the Embassy of Canada to Cuba says on its website, “Canada-Cuba relations can be traced back to the 18th century, when vessels from the Atlantic provinces of Canada traded codfish and beer for rum and sugar.”
Canada and Cuba have maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations ties since 1945. Canada is Cuba’s largest source of tourists; Canadians visit Cuba like Americans visit Mexico. The two countries are trade partners and they engage in educational and cultural exchanges.
Trudeau added that his late father, Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau “was very proud to call him a friend.” Castro had been an honorary pallbearer at his father’s funeral.
The statement concluded: “We join the people of Cuba today in mourning the loss of this remarkable leader.”
Some were angered by what they viewed as Trudeau’s humanization of a dictator who had caused profound suffering for his own people. Trudeau’s statement, as well as his family’s friendly history with Castro, led some to speculate that there was a much harder truth behind the soft words.
Is this a real statement or a parody? Because if this is a real statement from the PM of Canada it is shameful & embarrassing. https://t.co/lFXeqU7Ws0

But Joe For America went in search to find out if there was any water in this crazy bucket.
The theory rests on three unconnected assertions: 1) Margaret Trudeau and Fidel Castro met in 1971 and were close friends ever after; 2) Margaret Trudeau was sexually promiscuous; and 3) they look similar.
The theory falls apart after only a quick look at the historical evidence surrounding Trudeaus. The rumor seems to persist for one reason alone: Justin Trudeau’s appearance is strikingly similar to that of the late Cuban dictator.
PM Trudeau’s parents were definitely friends, we know that to be fact. Here is a picture:
Castro once described Pierre Trudeau as “a close friend and an extraordinary figure.” Margaret Trudeau has also been open in her later writings about past affairs.
But while the Trudeaus did indeed develop an unusually cozy relationship with the Cuban dictator, Justin Trudeau was already toilet-trained by the time his mother, Margaret Trudeau, first met Castro in 1976.
Margaret and Pierre were secretly married on March 4, 1971, after which Pierre spent March and April in Ottawa on official business. During this time, little Justin was conceived. He was born on December 25, 1971.
So could Justin’s mother had snuck away for a secret tryst? Possible.
Who does Justin Trudeau resemble more, Pierre (left) or Fidel (right)?
Keep in mind that Margaret Trudeau, the glamorous, surprise new wife of the prime minister, had suddenly become the most talked-about woman in Canada.
In those first weeks, her every move was closely followed by the press. Any secret Cuban affairs would have required her to evade both the most powerful man in the country and a media hungry for all things Margaret.
Another important factor in all this is that nobody has ever accused Margaret Trudeau of being discreet.
In various books and interviews following her 1977 separation from Pierre, she’s freely revealed her own drug use. She also discussed Pierre’s weird sexual habits and her dalliances with everyone from Jack Nicholson to Edward Kennedy.
She was honest, in fact, bluntly honest.
So it looks like Justin is just a doppelganger…but a good one for sure.
Definitely great fodder for conspiracy theorists.
The suicide note? No word of that except in articles claiming the insanity itself. No evidence of it anywhere else!
