White House Voicemail Message During Shutdown Was Very…Trumpesque!

As of this past Friday, the government wass officially in shutdown mode. The “Schumer Shutdown” lasted 3 days. Nice job Chucky! The Democrats held the government hostage on an issue completely unrelated to the budget: DACA. Democrats are pretending to care about the “dreamers” dreams, but really they care more about the potential votes. Totally sickening!

The blame for the shutdown clearly lied at the feet of the Democrats, but don’t expect that message to get out to the majority of the public. No, they will continue to be fed the lies that Trump can’t lead or Trump won’t compromise. Nothing could be further from the truth, but the public is being fed a bunch of BS. Luckily President Trump is a master at getting out his messages without the help of the MSM. Generally, he uses Twitter, but he isn’t tied to just one mode of communication.

Of course, most of the government was uninterrupted. Mail still was delivered. The military still did their jobs (though without paychecks) but don’t worry, congressmen still got paid. However, there are over 800,000 non-essential government employees that did not report to work until it ended. (I know! Amazing isn’t it? How are there that many non-essential government employees?!) In any case, there were thousands that didn’t go to work and that meant there were lots of unanswered phones throughout the government.

One phone line that was not manned during the shutdown was the White House public comment line. To take full advantage of the situation, somebody had the brilliant idea to use the opportunity to enlighten those who did call to complain, about the true nature of the shutdown. In a wildly creative move, the White House decided to change the voicemail message to send a message: this was the Democrat’s fault.

H/T Breitbart

The White House changed its voicemail message to blame congressional Democrats for failing to pass a budget over partisan squabbles on immigration.

“Unfortunately, we cannot answer your call today because Congressional Democrats are holding government funding—including funding for our troops and other national security priorities—hostage to an unrelated immigration debate,” the recording says.

The message, which was recorded for the White House’s public comment line, said calls could not be answered because of the “obstruction” from Democrats.

“Due to this obstruction, the government is shut down,” the recording continued.

The message ended by informing callers that they can leave comments for President Trump on the White House website contact page until the government reopens.

During a government shutdown, all non-essential services, including the National Park Service and museums, cease to operate.

“Essential” operations, such as the military, the post office, and federally-run medical centers remain open—although many employees will not receive immediate payment while the government is closed.

The government shut down at 12:01 a.m. Saturday after Senate Democrats refused to fund the government if a deal on DACA amnesty was not negotiated. The White House responded that there would be no amnesty negotiations in the government funding package.

The Senate is in session as of Sunday as lawmakers work to reopen the government.

Whoever came up with this message deserves a raise! The only way it could have been better is if Trump had recorded it himself. It think it was awesome that those who called to make their likely unflattering comments to the President were met with a message of reality. What a great use of resources. It’s like the work of a stable genius!

I just love this White House. Trump has filled it with people who know how to get out a message and get things done. This is but one example of the genius way to spread a message because certainly they can’t rely on the MSM to ever cover their side of things. Much like President Trump uses Twitter to go directly to the people, this message was a great way to talk directly to dissenters who may never have heard the other side.

Thankfully the shutdown didn’t last too long, but I hope that it does ends with Trump holding firm. One of the biggest reasons Trump was elected was because of immigration and for him to give in on DACA without some serious progress on the wall and chain migration would be truly disappointing. I have faith that Trump will ultimately prevail!
