Trump: Christmas IS about Jesus! … And Jerusalem Is Next

0

It’s nice to finally have the leader of our nation reminding everyone that Jesus is the reason for celebrating Christmas.

Of course, the lighting ceremony for the White House took place on November 30th, but that didn’t stop President Trump from letting the entire nation know the real reason for Americans celebrating Christmas.

President Trump carried on White House tradition and spoke at the ceremony. Without hesitation or embarrassment, he took the stage and immediately began to recall the Christmas story.

“The Christmas Story begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son, and the most extraordinary gift of all—the gift of God’s love for all of humanity,” he began.

“Whatever our beliefs, we know that the birth of Jesus Christ and the story of his life forever changed the course of human history,” he continued.

The president wasn’t afraid to keep mentioning the name of Jesus or tell America the truth about the Christmas season: it’s all about the birth of Jesus Christ.

“Each and every year at Christmas time we recognize that the real spirit of Christmas is not what we have, it’s about who we are – each one of us is a child of God,” Trump continued, according to LifeSite News.

“That is the true source of joy this time of the year. That is what makes every Christmas ‘merry,’” he stated.

Trump has always upheld that God plays a major role in the very core of our country.

Even during his presidential campaign, the president called for “Merry Christmas” to become the norm once again instead of the secularized, “Happy Holidays.”

While the mention of God and prayer is being erased from schools and the public square, the president is once again reaffirming the Christian values that undergird our nation.

Watch President Trump’s beautiful speech below:

Americans have been waiting for a leader who will recognize God and invite Him to once again be the center of our great nation.

Acknowledging that Christmas is a holiday that celebrates Jesus and Christianity is a good start to once again letting Christ be a part of our country. Now, that’s something we can all celebrate!

Speaking of celebrations….

President Trump told Israeli and Arab leaders on Tuesday that he plans to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Trump is expected to announce his decision on Wednesday, two days after the expiration of a deadline for him to decide whether to keep the American Embassy in Tel Aviv.

President Donald Trump reportedly told Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday that the U.S. is planning to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“President Mahmoud Abbas received a telephone call from U.S. President Donald Trump in which he notified the President (Abbas) of his intention to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” Abbas spokesman Nabil Abu Rdainah said in a statement, according to Reuters.

Due to some housing constraints, Trump is expected to sign a national security waiver that would authorize the administration to keep it in Tel Aviv for an additional six months.

The White House let a Monday deadline for signing a waiver that allows the embassy to remain in Tel Aviv pass overnight but said Trump was still deciding on the next U.S. move. That could include formally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital but holding back on moving the embassy.

Deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley said Monday that a decision on the waiver was imminent.

“The president has been clear on this issue from the get-go — that it’s not a matter of if, but a matter of when,” he said.

Trump’s failure to sign a waiver Monday was seen by some Israelis as a positive sign.

“Midnight passed and no Jerusalem embassy waiver was signed, which means the law will take full effect,” said Eugene Kontorovich, head of international law at the Kohelet Policy Forum, a right-wing think tank in Jerusalem. “The president has begun the process of moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”

The news comes one week after Vice President Mike Pence’s speech where he reiterated the administration’s intentions to move the embassy.

“While for the past 20 years, Congress and successive administrations have expressed a willingness to move our embassy, as we speak, President Donald Trump is actively considering when and how to move the American Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” Pence declared.

Pence is expected to visit Israel in December, around the same time the six-month waiver is due to expire.

Moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would mark a historic turning point for American-Israeli relations, as the two countries are major allies on the world stage and Israeli leaders have long sought out official recognition of Jerusalem by the United States.

So not only is President Trump bringing back ‘Merry Christmas’ in America, and proclaiming ‘Jesus is the reason!’, he’s also giving Americans a sweet present too!

Jesus is the reason for the season! Merry Christmas America!
