Watch: NFL Legend Mike Ditka Has Message for Kaepernick on 9/11 Anniversary!

Today is Monday, September 11, 2017. Today, we observe the 16th anniversary of 9/11 and honor the 2,983 men, women and children killed in the attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, aboard Flight 93 and in the 1993 WTC bombing.  Today we remember the fallen and each and every American who showed up during our country’s difficult time of need.

This past weekend, the NFL kicked off its 2017 football season. What amazes me is that liberals still wonder why Americans get all bent out of shape when certain athletes or other morons, disrespect our great nation and flag. The nice thing about it is, we still have great patriots like Coach Mike Ditka who remind morons like Colin Kaepernick why it’s important to respect our country and our flag.

H/T Conservative Tribune:

Legendary Chicago Bears football coach Mike Ditka had a message for National Anthem protesters like Colin Kaepernick on this day of remembrance for the United States.

In an interview with TMZ, Ditka agreed that it was disrespectful for players to not stand for the anthem on the anniversary of 9/11, when so many citizens and first responders lost their lives.

People have a right to do what they want to do as long as they don’t break the law or hurt people,” he continued, adding that there would always be “malcontents.”

When asked if the protesters should put it on hold on 9/11, Ditka said, “I’d like to see them put on hold every day. I mean there’s a time and place for everything. Before a football game is not the time and place for it. Period!

When asked what his message would be for those who were planning on protesting “The Star-Spangled Banner” on Monday, the former coach said, “God Bless America.”

Take a look:

It doesn’t get much more blunt than that. Of course, I preferred his earlier statement last year. Which I will get to in a moment. I just want to say…

You gotta love Da’ Coach!

The outspoken conservative has been vocal about his support for President Donald Trump and his disapproval for former President Barack Obama. When asked about what he thought about Trump winning the presidency earlier this year, he said he would be surprised if Trump could mess up the country as much as Obama had done in the past eight years.

Of course, the statement I really loved from Da’ Coach came about a year ago.

Speaking on a local Dallas radio station last year, legendary NFL Coach Mike Ditka raked San Francisco 49’ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick over the coals for his national anthem protests.

I think it’s a problem, anybody who disrespects this country and the flag,” Ditka said on station KRLD. “If they don’t like the country, if they don’t like our flag, get the h*ll out. That’s what I think.”

Ditka continued,

“I have no respect for Colin Kaepernick.  He probably has no respect for me. That’s his choice. My choice is that I like this country, I respect our flag and I don’t see all the atrocities going on in this country that people say are going on.”

I don’t know about you, but I feel the same way as Coach Ditka. ANYONE that disrespects our men and women in the service, our men and women who serve as first responders and our flag can get the H*LL OUT! If you don’t like America…LEAVE! It’s as simple as that!
