The lead singer of KISS, Paul Stanley, made several pointed jabs at Colin Kaepernick during a concert in Massachusetts over the weekend.
As he led the crowd in their version of the “Star Spangled Banner,” Stanley criticized Kaepernick and his refusal to stand for the National Anthem antics without even mentioning his name.
He then announced a $150,000 donation to “Hiring our heroes” which helps veterans find employment.
“In case you didn’t know this tour is called the ‘Freedom to Rock Tour,’” Stanley said. “A lot of times people that are born free think that freedom is free and it’s not.”
“Freedom is only free because there are people willing to sacrifice to keep us free.”
“You should remember, patriotism is always cool,” he added. “Loving your country is always cool. Standing up, respecting and honoring our military is always cool.”
Stanley then did something that would be considered highly taboo at a rock concert. He lead the crowd in placing their hands over their heart, and saying the pledge of allegiance. “God bless you! God bless our troops!” he shouted afterward.
“So, to show some respect between pick-throwing, we’re going to put our right hands over our hearts and why don’t we say the Pledge of Allegiance.”
The rock band KISS is a staple of American rock and roll, but this rock band is more than just makeup, platform boots, and catchy hooks. This band is also highly patriotic. So with all the disrespect being shown to this nation and those who have worked so hard to protect it, KISS wanted to show that patriotism isn’t dead, and that this nation is still the greatest country in the world.
During one of their concerts, KISS took a moment to do some amazing things. First, they started by explaining that this tour was all about freedom, and that freedom is not at all free. Thus, they showed their appreciation for our troops by awarding the charity “Hiring Our Heroes” $150,000. Displaying the check, and honoring our troops caused the crowd to go into a loud USA chant.
KISS was not the only group to beat up on Kaepernick this week, Kid Rock had three words to say about Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the National Anthem.
In a new video of his Friday concert at Fenway Park in Boston, the singer stopped in the middle of singing “Born Free” to say “F–k Colin Kaepernick.”
The crowd went wild while Rock continued to perform in front of a giant American flag.
Kaepernick has really stirred up patriots, but in the process, he has also done major damage to the entire NFL.
The NFL had its season opener and the viewership was the lowest in the past decade due to the continued boycott for Kaepernick and other players disrespecting the national anthem.
That spells trouble for the NFL and those involved in it. They have some big decisions to make going forward.
But it is now safe to say that the NFL is struggling in a large part due to the protests taken on by Kaepernick and other NFL players around the league. They have called upon themselves to stir up the emotions of people everywhere by choosing to kneel for the National Anthem. This has caused millions of people around the country to take on a boycott of the league.
Colin Kaepernick broke football!!!!
