Anthony Bourdain, host of “Parts Unknown” on CNN, said last week that he would poison President Trump if he was asked to cater a peace summit between the Trump and Kim Jong Un.
To go further, when asked on TMZ what he would use to poison Trump and the North Korean dictator, he responded, “hemlock” which is a poisonous plant that has been used as a method of execution.
Looks like someone else is up for a visit from the secret service. The video was published by TMZ last week, but is just now gaining attention.
TV foodie Anthony Bourdain told paparazzi outside an airport that if he was asked to cater a dinner for President Donald Trump, he would poison the food.
The former Food Network personality and current host of CNN’s Parts Unknown was caught outside LAX airport by a photographer for celebrity gossip website TMZ. Bourdain was asked whether or not he would go to North Korea to do a food show.
Bourdain said that everyone in North Korea is starving, so there is no reason to go there. He also called the diminutive dictator of the oppressed nation a series of obscene names, saying Kim Jong-un is a “chubby, evil little f***.”
But then the TMZ stringer asked what Bourdain would serve if he was asked to cater a dinner for President Trump.
Bourdain answered simply, “Hemlock,” appearing to admit he would poison the president if given the chance.
The TMZ reporter also asked about what the TV chef thinks of the president’s tweets, but all Bourdain gave was a shrug of his shoulders.
This isn’t the first time the TV food personality spoke about dining with the president. Last year, Bourdain said he would “absolutely f*cking not” dine with Trump.
Bourdain is just the latest CNN host to get in trouble over comments about the president.
In May, the network fired Kathy Griffin for holding up a bloody head made to resemble Trump in an online video.
For several years, the comedian has co-hosted the network’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper.
In July, a CNN network producer admitted on camera that there was no “proof,” so far, to the Russia investigation. CNN personality Van Jones was also caught calling the issue a “nothing burger.”
The undated footage shows the liberal analyst stating, “The Russia thing is just a big nothing burger.”
Also in July, CNN and its host Andrew Kaczynski was accused of “blackmail” following the investigation into the identity of the creator of a controversial gif shared by President Donald Trump.
CNN sparked a backlash after threatening to identify the Reddit user who claimed to have created a meme of Donald Trump body-slamming the CNN logo that the president later shared on Twitter.
CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski opted not to identify the user “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again.”
When is CNN going to learn? They will have to do damage control again.
Bourdain will surely have to answer a lot of questions by the Secret Service. This was not a veiled threat, this was openly saying that given the chance, he would assassinate a sitting President.
The world has gone nuts! Goes to show, food critics should not try to be comedians.
